They should be self-evidently funny, but most of them have Republican_Legion's commentary behind them to literally explain the humor behind them. Its not a funny joke if you have to explain the punchline.)
Most of what they [FSTDT.com] post isn't "self-evidently funny". It's not even "self-evidently" "darned". It's just stuff that they don't agree with. In fact, I dare say that they have extremely low standards for what they consider "darnedest" comments. Most of what they lampoon are things that would seem rational & sane to NORMAL people.

Now a counterpart. Well, I would submit a lot of material if I could translate. Anyway, we are all humans and commit mistakes but, honestly, I have checked the context and believe me, they are serious. Of course, they are a minority, but they are not normal to people. Or do you imply that it´s normal to advocate for a theocracy in the USA or that there is no separation between church and state, or that Catholics are not Christians(just to mention a few)?
No, you didn't just say that! If the majority of the fundy statements that are posted here for review and comment are things that would seem rational & sane to ANYONE, we are in more serious trouble than I thought possible.
That's probably true as long as you get to be the one defining "rational," "sane" and "normal."

No one here is bitching about the First Amendment. You do have the right to ban people at your forum for whatever reason you choose (including none at all). That does not make you immune to criticism and/or mockery for doing so. We have as much right to say what our opinion of your administrative policy is as you do to establish said policy.

In a way, he is right. There isn't that much funny here. Darndest, for sure. Outright bizarre, indeed. But not always funny.

Really? Because I once read a post from an MRA who thought child prostitutes should be blamed for being raped. It's not funny, sure, but if it seems "rational and sane" to you, you should probably get some heavy psychological help.
