They should have fried her 34 years ago
But they didn't. Deal with it.
I personally think all liberals should be rounded up and put in concentration camps.
Why? Why is it that people like you just can't stand for someone to have different opinions? Is it sheer arrogance and self righteousness, or is it just a symptom of your insecurities, your need to convince yourself that your views, and only your views must be right, if not then you fear you might not be right about anything.
Now I fear I mught be setting up a Godwin here, but seriously, when you advocate rounding people up into concentration camps, simply because they don't agree with you, how does that make you any different from the Nazi's? or Pol Pot? Or any of the numerous other totalitarian regimes that have been opposed and vilified by the entirety of the civilized world?
Is it hubris or fear that fuels your desire destroy any opposition to your views?
We'd have a much better country and wouldn't have stories like this anymore.
Do you really think that it will make people change what they believe, that you can force people into having the opinion that you demand they do? You can't. You cannot police peoples thoughts, you can force them be silent, to publically agree with you out of fear. But in the end you will only succeed in making others find more creative ways to disagree with and undermine the views that you demand everyone to hold.
If you honestly think that you can build a better country by oppressing people who disagree with you then I suggest you take a look at the history of those country that thought they could do the same. And you couldn't stop with just liberals, oh no, no, no, you then will have to purge the members of the schisms that will erupt in conservatism as result of your purges, then you'll have to purge members with ideological differences no matter how slight or insignificant, because dissent cannot be tolerated. And in the end you'll left with a very small ruling elite that is fractured by constant paranoia, each member suspecting the others of ideological impurity, and an enslaved populace just waiting for the right moment to rise up and destroy their oppressors.
But you are right, in your world there wouldn't be stories like that anymore. In fact there would hardly be any stories at all. Just furtive whispers and fables about a time when all people were free to speak their mind and hold their own opinions, stories about how there used to be a better world. That's what your "better country" would be, a totalitarian nightmare where freedom has become a myth of a bygone era. Something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy, and certainly not upon my fellow countrymen.
