On WAR’s podcast, on the September 3, 2021 episode, Wayne says something about how most homeless people are not nice, they’ve burnt their bridges, their family hates them. I don’t know how Wayne came up with this. He seems to have disdain toward most homeless people.
And speaking of homelessness there’s FSTDT commenter Tempus who said Apropos of nothing, I am about to be homeless for Christmas. Any advice?
This should be an announcement on FSTDT. Maybe there’s a FSTDT commenter who can give advice or maybe even help personally. I’m not from America so I can’t help. Tempus is from El Dorado, Arkansas.
And I don’t know if prayer works, but just in case it does, we should give prayer a try, see if it works.
FWIW, I thinks and announcement would be a great idea! I live in California, myself, which might as well be another country for all the help I can provide (its about 1550mi/2500km. And I’m not in the most stable financial situation, myself, trying to support my wife and myself on SSI, in one of the most expensive states in the country.) If we can spread the word a bit more, maybe someone in a better position to help might hear it.

I’ve spent some times homeless myself, and definitely none of that applies to me. My family hates me so much that I’ve been living with my parents for a few years now, lol. And I’ve actually kept up friendships with a few people I’ve met in homeless shelters years ago. Sure, I also met some people in those places that weren’t very nice and so forth, but you can meet people like that anywhere.
Or or or, and stay with me, Rooty, this gets very technical and almost Machiavellian in it's complexity - what if "they,” whomever “they” are, he doesn't specify, simply, legitimately disagree with you and your calls for anyone who doesn't look, think, act, live or love like you to be exterminated or oppressed? What if they really do just think you're wrong?

Then again, if the devil existed, metaphorically, you don't think that it'd be more plausible for the party of gaming and deception that cannot deal with its nazi elements and supports anti-humanitarian and abusive policies, to be the camp of evil? Do you think that a lying bigot like you is a likely representative of good and decency? Known for calls for violent mobs and domestic terrorism against those you irrationally hate. Look at a mirror...

Apocalypticism that is nihilistic and prevents to plan the future. Not appropriate in the context of country management, hinting at (potentially lethal) incompetence.

Thank you for not forgetting about Tempus. I’m not a praying man, I’ve seen and experienced and read too much into organized religion, but I still put hopes and wishes out there for people in need. I know the world needs more than that, it needs people willing and able to take action. The sentiment of thoughts and prayers is so agonizingly often an excuse to do nothing but feel morally superior - even to those who take concrete action - that it discourages real change. But right now? With what little else I can do? It’s all I have to offer.
