Hell, it has been a long time since I was a physics student, but quantum mechanics are pretty well understood - it was hardly scratching the surface. Now, understanding light, string theory, those sorts of things, maybe you might have a chance at this argument - but not with something that is taught to first year physics majors.

Um, I thought the "ether" was an 18th or 19th century idea that has long been debunked. And I'm really doubting that science is about to discover it through quantum mechanics. You know, that thing about [citation needed] and all.
