Common sense dictates that the Bible was tampered with, changed, rephrased, added to, taken from, etc.
The holy spirit tells me that it is all true.

Not that fundie. This is a core doctrinal belief of many, many churches, most of which tend to be conservative, but not really all that fundie.
it is only when this doctrine is used aggressively to demand all others abandon their own approaches that it becomes fundie.
Of course, you could say that about any religious or philosophical doctrine.
First of all, let's understand that "common sense" is frighteningly uncommon.
Second, that which deemed "common sense" is often wrong.
Those points being made, yes, the Bible HAS been "tampered with, changed, rephrased, added to, taken from, etc.," however, it is bible scholars who tell us that, not "the holy spirit." Elevated and enlightened uncommon sense tells us that those who believe spirits are telling them things are nuts.
The holy spirit tells you it's all true that the Bible was tampered with, changed, rephrased, added to, taken from, etc.?
wait, hold on, the guy seems to be saying that his common sense is telling him the bible was tampered with and that the holy spirit AGREES, given the context.
Ok, by that logic I can say that the holy spirit told me to kill my teacher for giving me a low grade, WTF?. It´s reason, dear, what helps you(the first part was not that bad), but of course, that is taboo for you.
Good point, mad dog. It could be read that way.
C'mon, alorian. Clarification, please. Don't leave us hanging.
I hate to invoke Son of Sam killer David Berkowitz's neighbor's dog yet again, but if a dog can tell someone to shoot people, then a message from the holy spirit that no one else heard isn't going to convince anyone else.
Common sense tells me I shouldn't let my 3 year old daughter play next to the railroad tracks.
The Holy Spirit tells me God's watching over her, and all's gonna be fine.
Did I paraphrase that correctly, alorian?
"The holy spirit tells me that it is all true."
The bible tells me so.
God = the truth.
Wow. I had no idea that there were so many legit sources of all knowledge out there that unanimously give thumbs up to Christianity. Oh, wait, they were created by christianity. I guess they just have a good P.R. team.
@alorian

The same holy spirit that is mentioned in the bible?
We already knew that it was tampered with, changed, rephrased, added to, taken from, etc. ... so what's your point? And, why don't take your holy spirit seriously?
Confused?
