That's just the point. If the Earth would have just popped out of nowhere for no reason, I doubt that there actually would be a magnetic field around it that we humans could put to so much good use!

Tell me, do other planets of the solar system have those magnetic fields? No. Do the magnetic fields of the Earth serve any purpose for the Earth? No. There is a very big chance that they were put there so we can use them. Cause if we could not, it would not serve any purpose at all. Things of such a high calibur that exist with no meaning at all? Sorry, I don't by that crap.
