These days even a neutral point of view on homosexuality or racism gets you branded a homophobe and a racist. Only an enthusiastic endorsement of homosexuality and all it entails will do.

It must be asked- why are they so keen to promote homosexuality to other people's children?

I suspect that there are more homosexuals working in the higher echelons of government and media than there are in the general population. Do you really think say a Bible believing Christian who considers homosexual relationships to be sin would get recruited and promoted in such a pro-gay environment?
