@Miles Gloriosus:
"Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a good number of Muslims (and even a couple Muslim-majority countries) in eastern Europe? If I'm not wrong about that, he's in for a surprise when he gets there."
You're not wrong (if we count southeast Europe as being Eastern Europe).
There's Albania and Kosovo, both majority Muslim. There's also Bosnia and Herzegovina which has over 40% of them. Bulgaria and Greece also have the occasional indigenous Muslim.
Moving onto Eastern Europe in the narrow sense, you have Crimea with its Tatar minority, as well as more than a few Muslims in Russia.
And of course, near the periphery you have Turkey and Azerbaijan, both almost 100% Muslim.
Oh, by the way, we just had an official celebration of 100 years of Islam being accepted as an officially recognized religion here in Croatia. Meaning, this is seen as a good thing, so I don't think our fundie would be happy here ;)
That said, I'm thinking certain central European countries would be all too glad to take in an idiot like this nowadays... *looks in the general direction of Orban, Kaczynski and their brothers*
