And if the bible says the sun stopped do you have proof that it didn't?

Well, there's the fact that it just doesn't generally happen, and the abrupt slowdown in the earth's rotation would cause some massive problems, what with people still moving at very high speeds (I don't recall the exact figure, but I think it's about 500 miles per hour near the equator) and the ground under them not moving that fast any more.
Aside from that, you'd think someone besides the Israelites would have noticed something weird like the sun staying fixed in the sky (or out of the sky) for a day.
And if I say you have a mickey mouse toy stuck right up your anus, do you have proof that you don't?
I think you should check.
If the sun stopped rotating around the galactic centre, either we would be toasted as we rear-ended the thing, or frozen as we flew, rather quickly, away from it.
Pure guesswork, based on that as we are rotating around on our galaxy, and also moving through the Universe. But God would be sadistic to stop the Sun. Bad God!
You're the one making the extraordinary claim, you have to prove it.
Also, the laws of physics.
Proof? Yes.
Such an completely extraordinary occurrence would have been mentioned in the chronicles of ALL ancient empires.
Other celestial phenomena (solar eclipses, supernovae etc.) are reported in the chronicles of the Maya, the Egyptians, the Chinese ... The sun standing still for hours would have been reported in all of those.
But NOWHERE ELSE we find reports of this unique celestial phenomenon. ONLY in the bible.
Now what is more probable? That the sun really stood still, or that it is nothing but an ancient propaganda story?
And if the bible says the sun stopped do you have proof that it didn't?
North Korea reported some weeks ago that when Kim Jong Il visited a factory in winter, suddenly the flowers in the fields around the factory started to blossom miraculously.
Do you have proof that they didn't?
(I have not invented this north korea propaganda story. The official news agency there really reports weird things like this regularly)
IF? The Bible is saying the exact same thing it has been saying for nearly 2000 years. There is no room for "if the Bible says" here. As you hang on a Christian forum, shouldn't you know the Bible by heart?
You can't prove a negative; if you claim the sun did stop, YOU have the burden of proof, dearie.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
