They are full of it, for the following reason. That reason is that there are varying medical, physical, and psychological conditions which disqualify someone from military service.
I know it offends the sensibilities of liberals to say that gender dysphoria is a medical or physical or psychological problem. They want us to say that it is a completely normal condition.
But if we are allowed to call a spade a spade we will say that there are indeed various types of issues which disqualify someone from military service.

We have no problem identifying gender dysphoria as a medical condition. It's the conservatives that insist it doesn't even exist, ffs.
What we're saying is that it doesn't and shouldn't disqualify one from military service, anymore than being atheist or mixed-race or a divorcee.
After all, the only impact it has on their ability to serve is in the prejudiced actions of their fellow soldiers. Being trans doesn't mean you can't shoot a gun or march in formation.
"medical, physical, and psychological conditions which disqualify someone from military service"
So, if this is a REASON, then there's at least one medical report showing why every transgender person is medically unfit for military service, right? I hear a lot of people pointing a lot of fingers, but little to nothing much in the way of actual science.
Makes me think maybe the Freeper objection isn't really medically based...
The fact that some mental or medical issues disqualify you from serving does not mean that they all do. Saying "there are indeed various types of issues which disqualify someone from military service" to justify excluding those with gender dysphoria from service is like saying "there are indeed various types of issues which disqualify someone from voting" to justify turning someone away at the poll for wearing a pin supporting a candidate you don't like. It's a smokescreen, and a bad one at that. No one is debating whether that's a thing that happens. What's being debated is whether gender dysphoria should be a disqualifier, and all you bring to the table is "well other mental issues are". No shit, Sherlock! And other mental issues aren't . So either provide a hard REASON to exclude them or PISS OFF!
Now all you have to do is identify the ways in which being transgender keeps anyone from meeting the requirements to serve in the military.
By the way, and just out of curiosity, what was your military service?
Everyone has to meet the qualifications to be in the military, right? If they qualify, they have equal right to join as everyone else.
Yes, lying and spewing stupidity does offend our sensibilities.
It obviously offends the delicate sensibilities of fundies to say that equal right includes EVERYONE.
Yes, some types of issues disqualify someone from military service. Perhaps being a fundie asshole ought to be one of those.
But if we are allowed to call a spade a spade

...then according to Oliver Stone, Bruce Springsteen, John McCain in particular, and the mother of Sgt. La David Johnson, let's do that: your 'President' is a lily-livered gutless yellow streak down his back a light-year wide bed-wetting coward .
What did you do in the war, Donald Fart...?!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
