Wow. This is full of so much bullshit that even I'm surprised. This has to be a troll. This has to be a fucking troll.
I think I'm going to have to find the actual quote before I believe this one...
... Wow... this is really what the guy said. And something tells me this isn't a troll. I hope, by cynicism says this is real...
"Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe"
My gut tells me he mounted a telescope on his roof, did a 360 with it and proclaimed, "Yep, I'm in the center!"
Well, Copernicus used epicycles. To be fair, Copernicus himself wasn't that much more scientific than Ptolemy; he just happened to be closer to being right.
It wasn't until Kepler came around and figured out that orbits are elliptical that they were able to do away with epicycles entirely.
Copernicus’ system had more epicycles than Ptolemy
Fewer, actually.
Numerous experiments show that the Earth is standing still in space
Name one.
Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe
Unless you can see the edge, how can you judge the center?
TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid
No, they didn't.
Einstein invented Relativity to ESCAPE the geocentric EVIDENCE
Complete bullshit.
Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism
No, they just support it beyond any reasonable doubt.
NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?)
Because satellites going around the earth have nothing to do with the rest of the universe? (And they do use relativity when timing is important.)
Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe
As was uncovered by Friar Columbo, Dr. Quincy, and large monies claim inspector Banacek.
I've heard the mercury poisoning story (from the mercury in his false nose, after losing his real one in a fight).
I've also heard that he died as a result of dinner table customs. In Brahe's aristocratic circles, one did not depart the table to use the facilities until the meal was over. Brahe was overly fond of drink, this at least is very well established by his contemporaries. So one night he visited some noble family for dinner, he drank at every opportunity, and remained seated at the table the whole time - not wanting to cause offense by getting up. But his bladder said otherwise, and burst.
As for the scientists he names... Hubble is famed for "The Hubble Effect" which posits that no matter where you are in the universe you will PERCEIVE you are in the center because all parts of the universe are moving away from you. Hawking would laugh (electronically if need be) at the idea he believes in geocentrism. Only Fred Hoyle is questionable - then again, Hoyle no longer ranks among the "top scientists" of the century because of his support for the long discarded "steady state" theory of the universe.
(CousinTed: Yeah, I think he did. It's the likely cause of his death, but the post above basically explains Brahe's death.)
Wow, the overwhelming incorrecness of all of this is just sad. It's not like he read a book and didn't remember something or whatever, this is just idiotic. I see someone got an F in astronomy.
- Copernicus’ system had more epicycles than Ptolemy
Luckily, we didn't stop there. Galileo and Kepler solved that problem.
- Numerous experiments show that the Earth is standing still in space
Name one. (No, the Michelson-Morley experiment did not show such a thing.) I dare you.
- Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe
Incorrect - we see for an equal distance in any direction, but even the best telescopes can't pick up objects at an infinite distance, so the more likely assumption is that we cannot see all the way to the edges of the universe and thus have no way of knowing our relative position within the universe.
- TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid
Source, please? Dollars to doughnuts not one of the four you quoted does.
- Einstein invented Relativity to ESCAPE the geocentric EVIDENCE
Bullshit. He invented relativity because it fit the evidence.
- Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism
Then what is your explanation for them? Heliocentricity is by far the simplest explanation that could exist for either.
- NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?)
Source, please.
- Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe
Evidence, please.
TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid
Mathematically, it doesn't matter whether you treat the earth as fixed or the sun as fixed, just as it doesn't matter whether you treat the ground as fixed and your car moving or vice versa. That doesn't mean the earth (or your car) are actually fixed.
Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism
The Foucault Pendulum doesn't - that proves the earth is rotating. Stellar paralax does, though. Want a demonstration? Hold your finger up in front of your face and look at your computer screen, first closing one eye, then the other. See how your finger "moves" compared to the screen? That's paralax. Now do the same thing, only with stars, first in the summer, then in the winter. The close stars move relative to the far ones, because the earth has moved to the other side of its orbit.
NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?)
Duh - because, unlike the sun, the satellites actually are geocentric?
1. I don't know what that means, someone else field this one =p
2. Er, no? Cite plz.
3. See below.
4. No, they don't. You insult their intelligence. See below.
5. Er, no, he didn't. He invented it to explain natural phenomena. "see below" leads here. In fact, it's the only thing that gives Geocentricists the self-important jingoism to say that the entire universe rotates around the earth while it stands still. (To go out on a limb >_> <_<)
6. I dunno what this is, someone else can field this one too =p
7. Because they orbit earth, smart one.
"- Copernicus’ system had more epicycles than Ptolemy"
Is this some failed Polish-joke?
"- Numerous experiments show that the Earth is standing still in space
- Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe
- TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid"
Isn't it something that theoretically Earth MAY be standing still at the centre of the Universe? On a way-too-much-weed-philosophical level..?
"- Einstein invented Relativity to ESCAPE the geocentric EVIDENCE"
... and anti-semitism too, sheesh.
"- Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism"
I'm not big on astronomy, so I will not try to be even funny-stupid here.
"- NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?"
'Cause we do not yet have sun-bases to launch satellites from?
"- Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe"
Kepler planted a classy lady Brahe would rather chat up with than going to the toilet, so his bladder bursted?
No, just no. You are unbelievably stupid!
Kepler used what Brahe had found, stupid!
"Tycho is credited with the most accurate astronomical observations of his time, and the data were used by his assistant, Johannes Kepler, to derive the laws of planetary motion. No one before Tycho had attempted to make so many planetary observations."

"Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe"
You know, I've actually heard this Kepler-killed-Brahe before. Apparently there's some sort of theory that Kepler poisoned him.
1. so what?
2. NO.
3. NO.
4. NO.
5. NO.
6. true. we place the sun in the middle because it is heavier. proving that anything 'stands still' in any part of the universe is impossible according to relativity, with which you just shot yourself. the same way you don't say a your houses moves past you when you walk past it, the same you don't say the sun goes around the earth.
7. maybe because satellites generally orbit the earth and probes can be launched according a geocentric model as long as any other body of gravity doesn't interfere.
8. so what?
you're a fucking idiot.
Copernicus had epicycles because he incorrectly believed that the planets moved in circular orbits. The earth was found to be stationary relative to space, however, because of relativity, everything else is. It is also true that the earth is at the center of the observable universe (at least on average) but that is because it consists of a sphere surrounding us where the light has had time to reach us. Nasa uses a geocentric perspective for probes in earth's orbit because it means less math, and really any frame of reference is just as valid as any other one.
Aha. A simple true/false test. Here are the correct answers:
- Copernicus’ system had more epicycles than Ptolemy False
- Numerous experiments show that the Earth is standing still in space False
- Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe False
- TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid False
- Einstein invented Relativity to ESCAPE the geocentric EVIDENCE False
- Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism False
- NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?) False
- Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe False
Epicycles are unfortunate necessities for people who don't use the sensible heliocentric solar system.
Now tell me about those "numerous experiments", please.
My telescopes, like my arms, can reach out in all directions, so I'm the center of the universe.
NASA uses geocentric mechanics for our satellites THAT ARE IN FACT GEOCENTRIC.
And (I don't mean to sound callous here, but c'mon, I never actually knew the man) I don't give a flying fuck about the death of Tycho Brahe.
- Copernicus’ system had more epicycles than Ptolemy
'Kay. Your point?
- Numerous experiments show that the Earth is standing still in space
Looking around and saying "dun'n't look like it's movin' to me" isn't an experiment.
- Telescopic evidence shows that the Earth is the CENTER of the universe
Oh? We found the edges of the universe, measured the distances to each and found them to be equal? DAMNIT! NOBODY EVER TELLS ME ANYTHING !!!
- TOP Scientists (Mach, Hubble, Hoyle, Hawking) admit geocentrism is in fact valid
And now you're straight up fucking lying.
- Einstein invented Relativity to ESCAPE the geocentric EVIDENCE
First: he didn't "invent relativity". That's been around as far back as there's been a recognisable universe.
Second: Einstein came up with his theory of special relativity based on his observations physics & light.
- Stellar Parallax and the Foucault Pendulum don’t prove Heliocentrism
The Stellar Parralax does exactly that. The Foucault Pendulm merely proves that Earth rotates, though for some reason you geocentrist & flat Earth shitwits insist that the Earth can't do that, either, so it, too, still disproves your position.
- NASA and JPL use geocentric mechanics for satellites and other probes (why?)
Because they're sending satellites into orbit around the Earth. Not the fucking sun. Did you eat paint chips as a child?
- Kepler murdered the staunch geocentrist Tycho Brahe
Let's ignore for a moment that that has NO IMPACT ON THE VALIDITY OF HIS FINDINGS WHATSO-FUCKING-EVER. Being a suspect is not indicative of guilt. Evidence is. There was no evidence, there were other suspects and, as Tycho was petitioning to have Kepler made Imperial Mathematician , Kepler had little to gain and a LOT to lose from Tycho's death. "But what if" is not evidence. It is, however, the full extent of your (failed) attempts at actual arguments. When not attacking the scientist instead of their science and making up bullshit to put into scientists' mouths in a pathetic to trick people, the best you have is "but what if magic, though".
Confused?
