The standard evolutionary astronomy model contradicts the Bible in almost every way possible. Therefore, we know that the evolutionary model can’t be true. As the Word of God, the Bible stands on its own authority, contradictory accounts are wrong by definition (see also p. 50).

Further along in the article, Psarris writes this:

In a small telescope, Saturn appears to have one solid ring. However, we now know that Saturn has many thousands of rings, nested one inside another.

Nor are these rings solid. They’re actually made up of billions of particles, all orbiting the planet together. The smallest particles are grains of dust, while the largest are house-sized boulders.

"We now know"? Ok, sure we do, but how? By scientific research, that's how.

I find it very amusing that Psarris uses scientific findings to dismiss the exact same scientific findings he accepts.

Is he aware that much of the communication and navigation of the Saturn probes rely on relativity to function properly? As does the navagation device in his car? I duobt it very much.

So what about that day in 1957, when Atheist Soviet science proved otherwise, via Sputnik 1?

I guess the concept of the USSR doing so first, and the potential for the militarisation of space itself wasn't the only reason America collectively shit itself decades ago, thus the need to put 'In God We Trust' on your money, and in the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954, eh?

Also the need - since 1957 - to invent the phrase 'Moving the Goalposts', to describe what you fundies do, as gaps are filled.

Meanwhile, the Voyager space probes to this day continue to not only fill, but open up a solar system-sized gap, by arseraping God more than the thought of him having to do a 27 Km Goatse when the LHC does what it was built to do.

And I see you're still in that river in Egypt, re. Kitzmiller vs. Dover, creationists. Oh, and for the Googolplexth time, Biology =/= Cosmology.

Moral: Creation Ministries Institute = Flat Earth Society. And as demonstrated by your strict adherence to Bible literalism that's not stretching things, neither.

Meanwhile, the likes of Yuri Gagarin, Alan Shepard, Yang Liwei, and messrs Armstrong & Aldrin, to say nothing of the current crew of the International Space Station, make toilet paper of your so-called irrefutable 'Word of God'. Which is all it's good for, as my arsehole can testify.

I refer you to the origin of the Pledge in the above Wiki link; specifically when, and by whom. If irony was a currency, the USA could buy China a trillion times over.

The phrase 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. It exists for a reason, fundies.

Now, I wonder why we in the UK have never had need for a 'Pledge of Allegiance', nor any mention of a 'God' on our banknotes...? On the other hand:

A certain naturalist & his discoveries was considered important enough for him to appear on the back of our £10 note. And our Queen Elizabeth II - a devout Christian herself, and head of the Church of England; as in 'Defender of the Faith' - approved of Darwin on our currency, as she (due to her image appearing on such) has power of final veto over any design(s) used on our currency, prior to production & circulation by the Royal Mint.
