People will believe the calculations someone made centuries ago are right, how come they can't believe in the bible?

Saying that dinosaurs have been around for millions of years before humans is ridiculous. I mean, how can you prove that the results they got are accurate?

I'm pretty sure I could prove the toaster in front of me has been around for billions of years if I made the experiment to prove it
