There is more than enough proof that dinosaurs and humans lived together (human and dino footprints found together, many many ancient drawings of people riding dinosaurs, the Bible's reference to taming a dinosaur).
The evolution theory has been made so people can either believe in God or not and still have the same theory, so the existence of God is irrelevant. It is not based on reality, but on the wish that there isn't a God that we're accountable to. Which is why I think it's strange for Christians to accept this theory, since it's underlying purpose is to destroy the need for God.
