Whoopi Goldberg claims to have given herself an abortion when she was 14.

I suppose there's really no way to disprove this statement of hers, but frankly I'm not really willing to believe her right away. But let's pretend for a moment that she is telling the truth. Whoopi has just done a disservice to the pro-choice movement by showing:

1) Coat-hanger abortions are simple enough to do at home and still live!
2) Coat-hanger abortions are easy enough for a 14 year-old to perform!
