[From "Against fascist despotic rule"]

It has been thirty-seven years since the Gwangju Popular Uprising took place.

The Gwangju Popular Uprising was the eruption of the pent-up grudge and wrath of the south Korean people against the US and its stooges.

On May 17, 1980, the Chun Doo-hwan military junta declared "martial law-10" to ban all assemblies and political activities, shut down all universities and apply a strict pre-censorship system on the media. And it arrested lots of youth and students and democratic personages of various circles at night of May 17 and at dawn of the next day. The May 17 fascist rampage was a great fascist rowdyism heralding the start of new dictatorship in south Korea and another plot to seize "power".

[...]

Nearly 40 years have passed since the uprising, but the wishes of the south Korean people to live in an independent and democratic society and a reunified country have not yet come true.

It is entirely due to the US which has dominated south Korea as its colony and the puppet group of traitors who has thoroughly trampled down the desire and aspiration of the people, pursuant to the US policy.

After coming to power, traitor Park Geun-hye had brought the south Korean people to bottomless abyss of misfortune and sufferings and turned south Korea into a graveyard of democracy and a human slaughterhouse by reviving her father's "yusin" dictatorial system and enforcing the fascist rule surpassing the predecessors.

Park and her stooges are a group of fascist gangsters and a horde of hideous man-killers surpassing the "yusin" dictator, who seized power through May 16 military coup, and the military gangsters who mercilessly suppressed the Gwangju Popular Uprising with tanks and armored cars.

History never pardons the traitors who ran amuck for the fascist dictatorial rule in collusion with foreign forces.

The undying feats performed by leader Kim Jong Il to provide solid foundations for the strengthening of the DPRK, the prosperity of the nation and the reunification of the country will be praised for all ages.

Zo Il-min, chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, said this when interviewed by KCNA on Feb. 13 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.

There are not a few famous statesmen and great persons in the human history of politics, but no such peerless saint can be found as Kim Jong Il who had performed immortal feats on behalf of the times and history, the chief said, adding:

His whole life was the most brilliant life of a great patriot who covered the untrodden and unexplored path with his iron will and superhuman efforts for the country and the nation.

He honorably defended the nation's sovereignty and dignity with his original Songun politics and made the DPRK tower in the world as politico-ideological and world-level military power and thus turned it into a land of bliss for the people startling the world.

He, who took to heart more than anyone else the misfortune and pains of national division, ushered in the June 15 era of emotion and joy on the land of Korea, which remained frozen due to confrontation and distrust, with his fixed will for reunification and courageous decision and thus opened up a turning phase of independent reunification making progress in the spirit of By our nation itself.

The chief declared that the AINDF would remain loyal to Kim Jong Il's behests for national reunification and conduct a dynamic struggle to successfully decorate 2017 marking the 45th anniversary of the publication of the July 4 joint statement and the 10th anniversary of the October 4 declaration as a year of bringing about a new phase of independent reunification under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Dr. Dermot Hudson #fundie ndfsk.dyndns.org

Visiting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from the 6th of September to the 13th of September I learnt that the DPRK, Juche Korea is pursuing the people-oriented policy. This is not a mere slogan but the reality of Juche Korea.

Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said at the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea that It is important to apply the people-first principle thoroughly in all aspects of Party work.

Applying the people-first principle is the intrinsic demand of our Party, which is struggling for the sake of the masses of the people and conducting its activities by relying on them.

All the work and activities of the Party should be conducted with the masses of the people at the centre. The climate of believing in the strength of the people and depending on them should pervade the whole Party, and the main thrust of Party work should be directed at promoting the people's well-being.”
The present reality of Juche Korea indeed bears this out. The DPRK is truly striving under the guidance of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN to implement people-orientated policies.

Along with the other delegates to the International Seminar on the Juche for Anti-Imperialism, Independence and Solidarity I visited the Pyongyang Orphans School on the outskirts of Pyongyang on Wednesday 7th of September. This school has been recently constructed under the leadership of supreme leader respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, a true people's leader. This school is located on the outskirts of Pyongyang. It was truly amazing. As our bus drove into the school a huge football pitch came into view. In the UK now many schools no longer have football pitches or sports grounds because these had been sold off to property developers.

The school was very clean and free from vandalism and graffiti unlike English schools.

The school is a three-storeyed building with 21 classrooms. There were up to date laboratories and all kinds of facilities. There is an anti-imperialist class education room to teach the pupils about the nature of capitalism and imperialism. Of course, anti-imperialist education is indispensible in socialist society in order to prevent ideological and cultural infiltration by imperialism and bourgeois corruption. The school had its own large-size indoor swimming pool.

In the UK such a thing would only exist in a private school where the fees can be easily up to £36,000! There was also a multi-use sports hall which could be used for all kinds of different sports. The dining room was truly palatial more like the dining room of a hotel or restaurant than a school. We also saw the kitchen which was clean and hygienic. It was also well stocked with food proving that the stories about "famine", "starvation” and "food shortage" in the DPRK are false.

In the UK and other capitalist countries there are Children's Homes and Orphanages but these are dark fearful places where the children are abused in all kinds of ways both physical and sexual abuse. Childrens homes in the UK are notorious for pedophile scandals such as the Kincora Boys Home case in Northern Ireland and the Elm Guest House child abuse scandal. In the UK orphans are treated like outcasts and orphans often becoming unemployed and homeless when they grew up. However in Juche Korea led by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN they have been given the best school. The reactionary imperialist media likes to talk about the "elite" in People's Korea but there is no such thing, the only elite in the DPRK if there is one is the orphans who have this wonderful school that is equal to elite private schools in the UK that are attended members of the Royal Family , the aristocracy and the bourgeoisie!

Juche Korea is carrying out massive housing construction for the people. Houses are built at state expense and given free of charge to the people. This is a dream to Londoners. Flats in central London can be anything up to a £1 million to buy plus service charges and ground rent or £600 per week (£31,000 per year) to rent . I was able to see the construction site of Ryomyong Street with 70 storey high buildings which looked very futuristic.

During the period of my visit the Central Committee of the Workers' Party took the decision to postpone the completion of Ryomyong Street in order to prioritise the recovery from flood damage in the north western region of the country. This was a wise decision as well as a true manifestation of the people-orientated policies of the great Workers' Party of Korea and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN.

Another fine example of the people-orientated policy was the newly reconstructed Pyongyang Central Zoo. I had visited this in the 19993 and in 2012 but this time it was far bigger. It had an entrance in the shape of a tiger’s mouth. The Zoo has all the latest facilities including a nature museum and a "Sea World” type centre where you can see fish swimming about. Really amazing. It also equipped with electric cars to ferry people around the Zoo as it is quite large. My guide Ms. Ri told me that the Zoo is virtually free of charge whereas in London an adult ticket for the Zoo is £25.45p rising to £28.10 for a ticket including a donation and £32 for a "fast track ticket”, for an old age pensioner the price is £22 and £18 for a children. Basically working class people in the UK are excluded from culture and recreation, whereas in People's Korea of Juche culture is accessible to all.

Pyongyang boasts of many theatres such as the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the People's Theatre in Changjon Street, the Moranbong Theatre and the Pyonghwa Art Theatre. Probably Pyongyang has more theatre seats per capita than London. I was able to enjoy a
splendid art performance in the Pyongwha Art Theatre on DPRK National Day on September 9th.The performance was splendid, it showed the superiority of Juche-based culture. I watched a circus performance which was enjoyable as well which was of high quality.

In Juche Korea people are able to pursue all kinds of cultural and recreational pursuits as well as to socialise properly. However the reality of the UK is that many people just stay alone in their homes either watching the TV or using the internet. People in the UK lead miserable lives as they are afflicted by poverty, depression, drug addiction, alcoholism, loneliness and family breakdown. The capitalist media like to portray the DPRK in a very negative light and twist all kinds of things. The reality is the capitalist societies such as the UK and US that are dark societies full of misery.

I witnessed that Juche Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is truly following people-orientated policies. The Korean people are rushing forward at Mallima speed to build a socialist people's paradise.

S. Korean Authorities Should Ponder over DPRK's Patriotic Appeal

All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad ardently wish to see the inter-Korean relations improve and peace and stability settle on the Korean peninsula in response to the DPRK's new year's appeal for paving a broad avenue to independent reunification by polling their intention and efforts, said a spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country (CPRC) of the DPRK in a statement issued on February 1.

The statement went on:

The south Korean puppet regime is, however, blowing the stereo-typed confrontation trumpet from the outset of the new year, bringing "north's denuclearization" and "its human rights issue" to the fore. It is crying out for establishing "a perfect alert posture" and taking "effective counteraction," vociferating about "north's threat" and "unpredictable provocation" every day, and busy making war drumbeats for invading the north everywhere.

We are well aware that "security crisis" much touted by the south Korean puppet regime, hyping " the north's threat and provocation", is aimed at saving Park Geun Hye from the crisis of impeachment though she is hit hard from all sides.

If the south Korean authorities opt for reckless confrontation and provocation in a bid to put the alarming internal situation under control, this may spill over into an unimaginable conflict and war and eventually lead to their shameful destruction.

They will only suffer bitterer disgrace and humiliation if they blindly toe the U.S. line, failing to properly judge the rapidly changing situation in the neighboring countries and being unable to discern who is real principal enemy of the nation, accustomed to clinging to coattails of big powers.

They should come to their senses and opt for carving out the independent destiny of the nation in response to the DPRK's offer of reconciliation before it is too late. This is the demand of all Koreans and the last advice of history.

If the south Korean authorities take the road of reckless confrontation and war in pursuance of the U.S. policy, defying the DPRK's sincere goodwill and appeal, the DPRK's tolerance and patience will go beyond their limit and in that case they will be held wholly accountable for the ensuing disastrous consequences.

[Taken from "Solidarity Activities in September"]

On September 2, the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA) issued a joint statement to condemn the south Korean fascist puppets that intend to enforce the so-called “Law on Human Rights in North Korea”.

The statement said:

In essence, the “Law on Human Rights in North Korea” is an extreme confrontational measure that denies the reality of the socialist system of the DPRK and aims to achieve regime change by force.

It is nonsensical and hypocritical for south Korea to take issue with the DPRK's human rights because south Korea is the worst fascist dictatorship in the world where patriots and communists are jailed all the time. South Korea is known internationally as the republic of the Jaebols where the rich oppress and exploit the poor.

Enforcing the law by the south Korean fascist puppets will led to a further and severe deterioration in inter-Korean relations and could bring a catastrophe to the Korean peninsula.
