The Refiner's Fire & Ravi Zacharias #fundie therefinersfire.org

The entire Internet teems with the ideas and views of atheists who want the world to know that anyone who believes in a Deity is basically "superstitious and irrational". The articles below will provide some food for thought. Whether or not you choose to "believe" is up to you, but if you're truly interested in discovering for yourself whether or not God is real, then we will ask you to put aside your prejudices and study the articles below with an open mind.

To sustain the belief that there is no God, atheism has to demonstrate infinite knowledge, which is tantamount to saying, "I have infinite knowledge that there is no being in existence with infinite knowledge." ~ Ravi Zacharias

The Refiner's Fire Response:

Read in context, you would see that God gave Pharoah NINE CHANCES to comply with His wishes to "let His people (the Israelites) go". NINE plagues to give Pharaoh a chance to see exactly WHO was in charge! Let's take a look what these "chances" were:

First Plague: The Nile waters Turn to Blood

The Nile, the river of Egypt, was the Egyptians' idol. The Nile's waters nourished the land and determined the welfare of all the people. The Egyptians thirsted after blood when they slaughtered the Hebrews' children, and now God gave them blood to drink. Now the source that brought the Egyptians life brought death instead (Exod. 7:14-25).

Second Plague: The frogs

The frogs represented the Egyptian fertility goddess, Isis, that was supposed to help women in childbirth. Frogs were everywhere: in their houses, in their beds, and at their tables. They could not eat, drink, or sleep without their precious god. The frog that symbolized life was left to be raked in heaps of rotting piles of death (Exod. 8:1-15).

Third Plague: The Lice

The lice which came up to live out of the dust of the earth represented the Egyptians' god of the earth, Seth. Matthew Henry notes that lice were small despicable, inconsiderable animals, and yet, by their vast numbers, they rendered a sore plague to the Egyptians. God could have plagued them with lions, or bears, or wolves, or with vultures or other birds of prey; but He chose to do it by these contemptible instruments (Exod. 8:16-19).

Fourth Plague: The Flies

The stinging, disease-carrying flies ruined the land. Beelzebub, the prince of the power of the air, has been glorified as the god of flies, the god of Ekron. The fly was always present at idolatry sacrifices. It seems that the god partook of those in this manner. This fourth plague came upon the Egyptians only. It made Israel a separate and Holy People (Exod. 8:20-32).

Fifth Plague: The Disease of Livestock

A great number of cattle died by a sort of pestilence. The Egyptians made the Hebrews poor and so God caused great loss to the Egyptians. This disease afflicted only the Egyptian livestock. The Egyptians believed animals were possessed by the spirits of gods. The bull was sacred in Egypt, identified in it markings to their god Apis. This pestilence, God's Word tells us, did not affect the Hebrew livestock (Exod. 9:1-7).

Sixth Plague: The Boils

Again God demonstrated His ability to control nature. When the death of their cattle didn't convince the Egyptians, God sent a plague that seized their own bodies. And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast (Exod. 9:10). Sores in the body were looked upon as punishment for sin, a means by which to call one to repentance. None of the Hebrews had any boils. This plague was a direct attack on the shamanism of the medico-mystical processes in Egypt (Exod. 9:8-12).

Seventh Plague: The Hailstorm

Moses gave the people a one-day warning before this plague. The notice was given because the sorcerers of Egypt were also agricultural shamans who supposedly controlled the weather. Those who feared the Lord went into shelter (showing us that God had mercy on some of the Egyptians). Those who did not believe God and took no shelter died in the fields (Ex. 9:21). There was ice and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all of the land of Egypt. The hail killed both men and cattle, and battered down the herbs, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and other plants. God, in His judgment, caused it to rain or hail on the Egyptians and not on the Hebrews (Exod. 9:13-35).

Eighth Plague: The locusts

By this time, Pharaoh's people, his magicians, and advisors, began to rebel. Pharaoh stood alone against God. Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. The plague was then sent which devastated the land and hence the power of the gods and shamans of agriculture. Pharaoh sent for Moses and pretended to repent. He asked Moses to pray to God to take the locusts away. And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt (Exod. 10:13-14, 19).

Ninth Plague: The Darkness

The Egyptians rebelled against the light of God's Word and they were justly punished with darkness. This thick darkness was over Egypt three days, but the people of Israel had light where they dwelt. What a picture of dark and light, of being lost and saved. The children of God walked in the light while Pharaoh and his people wandered in the darkness.

This plague was an attack on the power of the supreme deity of Egypt, the sun god Re or Amun-Re. The Egyptians could do nothing but stay in their homes and consider what they had experienced up to now, regarding the power of the God of the Israelites. Even then, Pharaoh refused to yield (Exod. 10:21-29).

Tenth Plague: The Death of the Firstborn

God said in Exodus 13:2, Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary explains the importance of the firstborn: God placed a special claim on the firstborn of man and beast (Ex. 13:11-13). This meant that the nation of Israel attached unusual value to the eldest son and assigned special privileges and responsibilities to him. Because of God's claim on the first offspring, the firstborn sons of the Hebrews were presented to the Lord when they were a month old. Since the firstborn was regarded as God's property, it was necessary for the father to redeem, or buy back, the child from the priest. Early Hebrew laws also provided that the firstlings of beasts belonged to the Lord and were turned over to the sanctuary (Ex. 13:2; 34:19; Lev. 27:26). The firstborn's birthright was a double portion of the estate and leadership of the family. As head of the home after his father's death, the eldest son customarily cared for his mother until her death, and provided for his unmarried sisters until their marriages. He was the family's spiritual head and served as its priest. In figurative language, the term firstborn stands for that which is most excellent.

The significance of the death of every firstborn in Egypt, from the house of Pharaoh to the slaves and the livestock, was great. But Israel would be spared so that there would be an obvious distinction between those who belong to the YAWH and those who do not (Exod. 11:1-10).

How many chances SHOULD God haven given the Egyptians? If they couldn't understand that YHWH was in charge say, by the second or third plague, then that indicates that they probably wouldn't have listened to God after the thousandth plague!

Now, let's discuss "hardening of the heart". The following is an indepth explanation borrowed, in part, from The Christian Think Tank:

The bottom line is that God KNEW that Pharoah's heart was hardened, and so He allowed a struggle to happen: During the first 5 plagues, Pharaoh hardened his own heart without any help from God (Exodus 7:13,14,22; 8:15,19,32; 9:7). Then God does it (9:12); then Pharaoh and his officials do it together (9:34-35), then God does the rest.

The point of the hardening is given the following passages to show that God CAN perform these miracles/judgments:

Exodus 10: 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these miraculous signs of mine among them.

Exodus 11: 10 Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go out of his country.

Exodus 14: 17 But take this staff in your hand so you can perform miraculous signs with it."

The miracles/signs/judgments themselves had an end-goal: so that the Egyptians would know that YHWH was God (and therefore come into a positive relationship with him - Exodus 14:4, 17); and so that the Israelites would know that YHWH had delivered them from their oppression with power, and was therefore a God they could depend on for their needs (Exodus 10.1), and so that the whole world would hear about God - 9:16. In other words, the end goal seems to be to wake everybody up concerning the true and living God.

From Lamentations 3 we know that God "sends hardness of heart" as a punishment: 59 You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me. Uphold my cause! 60 You have seen the depth of their vengeance, all their plots against me. 61 O LORD, you have heard their insults, all their plots against me- 62 what my enemies whisper and mutter against me all day long. 63 Look at them! Sitting or standing, they mock me in their songs. 64 Pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, for what their hands have done. 65 Put a veil over their hearts, and may your curse be on them! 66 Pursue them in anger and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.

What this means is that the judgments of God were not because of the later hardenings, but that the later hardenings were judgments themselves. (This motif also shows up in Joshua, where the kings who were being evicted from the land for atrocious crimes were "hardened" so they would fight Israel. (Jos 11:19.)

Evil Bible Allegation: God caused sibling rivalry by favoring Abel over Cain, with absolutely no attempt at justification. This act of favoritism led to Abel's death. Genesis 4:3-5

The Refiner's Fire Response:

First of all, God doesn't have to "justify" anything, because EVERYTHING He does is perfect and for a reason. (You don't have to justify to your kid why he shouldn't do drugs. You tell him it's bad for him, it might even kill him, and that's the end of it. When parents speak, kids are to listen - whether they agree or not.) Secondly, the Evil Bible web master has AGAIN taken Scripture out of context. Let's take a look at what actually happened:

Genesis 4:

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."

In order to grasp the meaning of this, one has to have a good understanding of Torah, including Exodus 12:1-13 wherein God describes exactly what type of animal is to be used for sacrifice, and what types of sacrifices will be accepted. Even though the Bible doesn't outline specifics about sacrifices until the Book of Leviticus, Cain and Abel obviously KNEW about sacrifices in their day, which means Cain knew exactly what was and what wasn't an appropriate sacrifice to bring before God. He chose to bring whatever he wanted, rather than what he KNEW God wanted.

"To see the law in its right place, we must look at the circumstances going before. We must not imagine that the world was without law from God in the times before the law of Moses. There is the clearest evidence that law, commandment and statute were in force, and that men were righteous or wicked according to their attitude towards these during that time. Thus of Abraham God said to Isaac, he "kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes and my laws" (Gen. 26: 5), which was centuries before the giving of the law.

So - Cain KNEW what to bring. He KNEW that sin offerings require blood, yet he took the easy way out, since he was a farmer of crops instead of animals. As a result, rather than to realize he'd goofed and simply admit it, he instead became jealous of and angry with his brother. He killed Abel - a sin that was a direct result of Adam and Eve's disobedience - because, before they disobeyed God and ate from the forbidden tree, it never occurred to anyone to fight, argue, or be murderously jealous! The Bible tells us that we reap what we sow....

Genesis 4:

8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"

"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"

See the sin in Cain? Not only did he kill his brother, he also LIED about it! Like most humans who think they're smarter than God, Cain figured he could talk his way out of what he had done and just get on with his life.

10 The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth."

13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."

15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Now, here is yet another sign of God's mercy: Rather than to allow Cain to be killed for the evil sin he had committed, God told him He would protect him! Cain brought his own punishment upon himself, yet God spared him for reasons only GOD Himself knows!

Evil Bible Allegation: God now commands that all women must have health hazardous labors for Eve ate the fruit. In no way shape or form is it just that I must pay for the sins of my ancestors. Genesis 3:16

The Refiner's Fire Response:

Who said life was fair? If you tell your kid not to play with matches because a resulting fire will burn and scar you for life, and your kid willfully disobeys and ends up setting the house on fire - what happens? He not only incurs your wrath because you now have no house and you're out on the street, not to mention, you have a horribly disfigured kid who will cost you an arm and a leg in medical bills. Is it fair that your kid made you suffer? Is it fair that a pedophile father makes his son or daughter to suffer at his hands? If is fair that man has caused the extinction of many beautiful animals, just because he wanted to have their head hanging on his den wall? Was it fair of Hitler to exterminate six million Jews just because he felt they were a threat?

God is the Creator. He is in charge; man is not! When our parents command us to do something, we are to do it, no questions asked. If they say, "don't do drugs," then DON'T do drugs because it's for your own good!

God gave ONE SINGLE command in the Garden of Eden: Genesis 2: 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die. And man couldn't even keep that one commandment - let alone the 613 He gave to the Jews, and later on the Ten Commandments, which most people today feel don't even pertain to them!

Adam and Eve disobeyed about something really major - something that affected ALL their future offspring - and they deserved punishment for it, don't you think? They had been living a perfect, stress-less life, and the only thing God demanded was that they not to eat from a particular tree because it would open their eyes to things that would open the proverbial "can of worms" that has become our world today: decadent behavior (divorce rate is through the roof, there's rampant homosexuality, senseless murders via drive-by shootings, etc., and there were even kooks raping, pillaging, and plundering immediately after Hurricane Katrina hit! Since the beginning, there has been endless strife in this world, along with lots of pain and suffering, famine, death, and wars caused by the hand of man who thinks he knows everything.....)

Not only did Adam and Eve disobey God's one simple command, but in the process, they gave birth to the first "blame game" because they now KNEW "good and evil"):

Genesis 3:

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"

12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me - she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."

13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"

The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." 17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

(If the above sounds silly to you, it's because you can't understand the things of God with your limited, human mindset. Unless we have the Holy Spirit residing in our souls, we CANNOT understand God. Web masters such as the one at Evil Bible are living proof of that! The thing is, it's all REAL, and the proof is in the fact that HUNDREDS of Bible prophecies have come true over the last few thousand years and are unfolding before our very eyes!)

God had every right to be angry and to punish the Adam and Eve for their disobedience. After all, they had just ruined the future of mankind! In His fury, rather than to put Adam and Eve to death, however, He gave them animal skins with which to cover their nakedness (because, along with everything else, they had now been made aware of "shame"). This was a picture of the first "blood covering". (God has always required blood sacrifices to atone for sin. This is because, as He tells us in Leviticus 17:11 - For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life. and Deuteronomy 12:23 - But be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat. Blood is the symbol of life. It nourishes our own bodies and that of our unborn children. Without it, we die and turn to dust.)

Genesis 3:

21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

People seem to overlook the fact that the "serpent" himself, was thrown out of heaven for trying to be "like God". NOBODY is God but GOD Himself! Adam and Eve, rather than to heed their CREATOR, decided to heed the serpent, instead, thus condemning all following generations to have to deal with "the knowledge of good and evil".

The following allegations were found on the Evil Bible.Com website. This particular website is managed by a dyed-in-the-wool atheist who, by taking Scripture out of context, attempts to mislead others into believing his own, skewed concepts of the Bible. This hate-mongering website and chatroom - which basically does nothing but spew venom at God, the Bible, and believers in Yeshua (Jesus) - is a perfect example of why the Bible warns: The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Most people don't realize that websites such as Evil Bible are run by narrow-minded, bigoted people with a very limited and twisted understanding of God and the Bible. No amount of proof "gets through" to these people - who swarm like screeching vultures on anyone who tries to present Biblical Truth to them. The goal of The Refiner's Fire's is to be a beacon of light in this dark world of atheistic distortions - and to challenge their unfounded allegations.

Refiners Fire #fundie therefinersfire.org

Again, as usual, Evil Bible picks and chooses Scripture WITHOUT bothering to take it in context! This is because they intentionally want God to look evil and are making every effort to lead you astray by omitting certain things. They figure that you aren't smart enough to check the Bible for yourself in order to find out WHY God did what He did. Well, since Evil Bible didn't show you, WE WILL:

Genesis 6: 5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

Every atheist we have ever encountered through The Refiner's Fire website, has the same lame reasoning when it comes to God and the Bible - and, it turns out, most of them have little or no understanding of the Bible. Even those who proclaim to be former Christians and have some actual Bible knowledge, have misunderstood what they thought they knew - which is blatantly obvious by the things they proclaim.

It was Satan's plan all along to confuse the masses, and he's done a very good job! Atheists are proof of this; Satanists are proof of this; and the myriad "Christian" denominations are proof of this. Hardly anybody picks up the Bible to check the facts for themselves. Atheists claim to "think for themselves" but the bottom line is, they do not; most of them simply jump on the bandwagon of hate (as evidenced by the evil spewed forth in atheist websites), and take the word of others in order to form their own opinions....

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

Atheists are those who have no clue about God or the Bible - and they cannot see the universe as a created place. Normally, no matter how much evidence we can present, they will reject it. This is because those without the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) cannot possibly understand the things of God....

We could go on arguing with atheists ad nauseum, but the bottom line is: "Those convinced against their will are of the same opinion still." Whether or not they realize it, they serve satan.

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

They don't realize that, without God's Torah, there is no blueprint, no "moral code" for proper living! Without Torah, where is the measuring stick that decides how humans should conduct their affairs? Survival of the fittest? More money? More humanism, relativism and tolerance with man as the measure of all things?

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

The bottom line is this: Whether you "believe it or not" - most prophecies outlined in the Books of Daniel and Revelation have already come true, and there are just a few more to go. According to the Scriptures, life on earth as we know it is about to come to an end - perhaps as soon as between 2017 to 2030. This is evidenced by the fact that Yeshua (Jesus) has so far fulfilled the first FOUR of the SEVEN Biblical Feasts - and the last three will be fulfilled almost simultaneously.

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

There is no truth whatsoever in the second half of the above paragraph: "If you examine secular societies in comparison to religious societies; secular societies will consistently have less crime, unemployment, corruption and more freedom, share of wealth and a higher standard of living." The Refiner's Fire CHALLENGES the author to prove that statement!

Look at the U.S. in general, at what has happened since 1962 since "God" and prayer were removed from public schools and government buildings! Since then, things have become more secular, worse, and that is a proven fact! Do a Google search and you'll see the U.S. has the highest level of teenage drug abuse in any industrialized nation as well as the highest divorce rate. We are the world's largest manufacturer of beer and the third greatest consumer of alcohol per capita. The U.S. has some of the world's most liberal abortion laws, despite the many "pro-life" protests. Furthermore, organized, public prayer in our schools is against the law, but yet our children's textbooks honor Buddha and Mohammed! Magazines that would make the proverbial sailor blush appear on our grocery check-out lines for our children to see! Many American states have annual "gay" parades, and "gays" are now fighting for the right to marry - and our own President supports their cause!

"One nation under God"? Perhaps at one time, but not anymore.

The Refiner's Fire #fundie therefinersfire.org

Some atheist websites want to play word games with the concept of "atheism" and about what they do or don't believe. But simply put, atheists are people who don't believe in God. The entire Internet teems with the ideas and views of atheists who want the world to know that anyone who believes in a Deity is basically "superstitious and irrational".

The questions we, at The Refiner's Fire, would like to pose are as follows:

Why is it that atheists celebrate Christmas and Easter since both of these holidays are to honor Yeshua (Jesus)? Why are most Americans (including the atheists) going into debt to buy "Christmas" presents? Why not totally ignore this holiday by going to work and carrying on, as usual? Don't you think it's a bit hypocritical to join in the festivities when you clearly abhor their very reason for being?

Why is it that atheists participate in Halloween, a pagan "holiday" that glorifies ghosts, witches, goblins, and grotesque creatures - and whose origins are steeped in the blood of human sacrifices?

Most of the Western World takes their "day of rest" on Saturdays and Sundays. As atheists, you should know that Saturday - the seventh day - is when Yahweh, our Creator - commanded us to rest!

Better yet, please explain why - if God and the Bible supposedly aren't real - have more than 300 Bible prophecies come true already? There are just a few more to go, and what's about to happen ain't gonna be pretty!

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

[Do you people even know what an atheist is? An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God, simple as that!]

Most atheists are people who not only don't believe in God; they are people who don't like being told what to do, period. They view God as someone who is trying to infringe on their "right" to do whatever they wish - and they figure that, if they dimply "don't believe" that makes their belief true.

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

[Evil Bible: Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!]

Have you done a study about how purple our faces turn? You keep making these unfounded, blanket accusations! Firstly, Allah is a demon god who expects YOU to die for HIM (while Yeshua is a God Who died for YOU!) and Islam is a religion started by a murdering, thieving, epileptic pedophile called Mohammed. Messianic Judaism began when God/YHWH came to earth in the form of a SINLESS man called Yeshua (which means "Salvation") who taught us about the things of God and then offered Himself as a Divine Sacrifice in order to afford wayward humans a place in heaven.

The Egyptian babies you speak of were not "slaughtered"; they simply died. YHWH ordered the death of all male firstborn in Egypt because of PHAROAH'S refusal to let God's Chosen People (the Jews) leave Egypt and their Egyptian bondage. If you'll remember, God gave Pharoah NINE OTHER CHANCES before hard-headed Pharoah finally got the picture that GOD was in charge! NINE CHANCES! Ask yourself this: If someone was holding your family captive, abusing them in various ways, and making them perform slave labor - how many chances would YOU give before finally "zapping" the perpetrator?

Carmen #fundie therefinersfire.org

[Evil Bible: Handicapped people must not approach the altar. Leviticus 21:16-23]

As we keep saying: GOD (YHWH) is God and He can do whatever He wants; what He does is ALWAYS perfect; and He always has His reasons for doing the things He does. Since God is holy and perfect, He cannot be around imperfection. He cannot be around sin of any kind (that's why NONE of us gets to go to heaven without the Sin Sacrifice of Yeshua who atoned for our sin!)

We simply cannot comprehend God with our limited human mindsets. But, from the beginning He told us that He requires perfection in His Presence. He plainly told us that the offerings we present MUST be WITHOUT blemish. Therefore, it stands to reason that people with any kind of defect cannot approach the altar. It's an act of amazing grace that ANY man is allowed near His altar at all, because we are sin-filled by nature (thanks to Adam and Eve!)
