if you have taken any sort of theoretical physics, you would know that, physicists believe there are at least 27 dimensions, not the usual 4 which we know. Possibly the soul lives in one of those?

Dunker distinguishes the soul as a seperate entity living in another dimension, apart from the physical realm... as far as I know, dimensions allow for explanation of real quantum behaviors, not unobservable behaviors in unknown dimensions.
Argument from Edjumacation Award
Take note that I know very little on this subject, but I believe that what Dunker is referring to are certain mathematical equations in String Theory that result in 26 dimensions. Most of these dimensions are considered to be "compacted," though, and more recent models like M-Theory suggest 10 or 11 dimensions. I sincerely doubt that souls "live" in these dimensions. Maybe Dunker should keep looking in the four that he knows best, instead of trying to branch out into physics.
Well they sure as hell aren't here in Dimension X. All we've got here are a bunch of creepy rock people, robot ninjas, ponty-eared teenagers with magic powers, an assortment of mutants, and everybody's favourite talking brain*!

***From Dimension X
I know it's been said before, but Bosonic String Theory actually predicts 26 space dimensions and one time dimensions. The problem is, there are 5 equally valid theories of the sort that fall under the blanket "M-theory", and none of them agree on things like dimensions or a concept called supersymmetry.
Surprisingly enough, none of them postulate the existence of a soul, which belongs in theology, not science.
Dunker starts off fairly sane, here - yeah, the current theories say 11 dimensions, but still more than four - then takes a flying leap into the magical land of Watthefuk by saying "maybe thats where teh SOUL is."
The Soul is in Rick James.
RICK JAMES, BITCH!

Awww, that so cute... a fundie tries to educate himself.
Completely misses the point though.
It's true that certain branches of physics add more dimensions to solve certain equations, but they're only models. Our senses can't experience them.
Most credible string theory (the one called "M") allows for 11 dimensions.
Certain versions of string theory allows for 26-ish.
And, no, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
...You know, I'm a total theoretical physics nut, and yet I've only ever heard of 11 (string theory and membranes), only four of which (length, width, height, time) we can perceive. But TWENTY-SIX?! No way!
if you have taken any sort of theoretical physics,
You mean like you?
you would know that, physicists believe there are at least 27 dimensions
Not really;
- the least number of dimensions is 1, like the average fundie's personality.
- The universe that we understand so far is composed of 3 physical dimensions (time being the fourth, figurative one.)
- The maximum possible number of dimensions is infinite.
- The maximum number of dimensions theorized by physics is, as yet, 11 (I think).
Possibly the soul lives in one of those?
My friend Occam's razor disagrees about the existence of an actual, non-literary "soul".
Love is waiting there, in my beautiful balloon
Way up in the air, in my beautiful balloon
If you'll hold my hand, we'll chase your dream across the sky
For we can fly, up, up and away
(For we can fly)
In my beautiful, my beautiful balloon, balloon
Fifth Dimension
(showing my age again)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
