DEMOCRACY ORIGINATED IN THE MIND OF A RATIONAL BEING WHO HAS THE DEEPEST HATRED FOR GOD.

As Biblically sound as this anti-democracy stuff is, and as refreshing as it is to see them being internally consistent, I can't help but feel an enormous amount of fear when I remember that these people are probably at least eligible to vote.
The American system can be traced back to the English system which dates back to the Anglo-Saxon times. (With some input from Greco-Roman systems) So, really, the people originally responsible for the Republic that is the United States were so gol darn god-happy that they had a whole bunch of them, not just one.
Personally, I like Thor. "Your god got nailed to a tree. My god carries a hammer." Try telling them that and see what they do.
Except that when the idea of democracy was first developed, by the ancient Greeks, the people whose idea it was, didn't subscribe to your religion. If you're talking about American democracy, a lot of the people who founded this country were deists. I'm a little sketchy on what they believe, to be honest, but I don't think they belived in Jesus, either. So, no. Hatred is impossible, if you don't believe a being exists in the first place.
Well, the Babble does warn against logic and rationality. But this just leads to thinking for oneself, then to atheism, but not to a hatred of something that does not exist. So if Democracy is opposed to Christianity, I choose democracy.
THEN I HOPE YOU HAVE NEVER VOTED IN YOUR LIFE, OTHERWISE YOU'RE A COMPLETE HYPOCRITE.
WHY THE HELL AM I TYPING IN ALL CAPS? OH, MY GOD, THE ALLCAPS IS CONTAGIOUS!
Well, if a rational mind comes to the conclusion that god exists, I'd question the rational part. Nevertheless yes, a rational mind would necessarily hate god - he's a hateful, spiteful, petty, jealous, murderous creature.
Yes, yes, we know, Bob. What you're saying is that people like you would acquire some sort of social validity ONLY if all other people are enslaved.
You're a slave living amongst free people, and you only have your upbringing to blame.
Matilde: Bad news is, Lee is emphatically NOT in favor of freedom of religion. Only his sharp-line Christianity has a right to exist. He's actually said outright that for a government to be acceptable to God, all non-Christian religions and philosophies must be proscribed and made capital crimes. As he puts it, no one has a right to be wrong...
(So why does he think God gave us free will, again?)
