Hetness and, in most cases, motherhood, are choices, and both choices come from a commitment to men first. Even when women don’t decide specifically to get pregnant, if they choose to be fucked by men, then they know what the risks are. Women who choose pregnancy gain the particular privilege and respect that only mothers are allowed. (Women often just continue doing what they are told they are supposed to do and follow what “everyone else is doing,” which means choosing men, making babies, etc. But clearly not every women does that, and trying to fit in and be considered normal is going for privilege. Some women are more calculating and aim to get a man with substantial privilege so they can have security, status, and money, while providing heirs, as well as sexual services as their part of the bargain — higher class monogamous prostitution.)

What is "Hetness"?
Edit:Nvm.
OK, here's a piece of reality: the experiences of pregnant women are WAY too variable to categorize them as "privileged." In fact, the social stigma against them - the increased likelihood of being fired, social ostracism if they are young, medical discrimination, and the devaluation of women's work - pregnant women are more likely to have misogyny amplified against them than benefit from it. A lot of this ties into race and class, two things radical feminists often pay too little attention to.
I loathe political lesbians, who "choose" their sexuality to reject men. It plays straight into the hands of the reparative therapy supporters. Sexuality is not a choice, all one can do is live with it and live a lie if you want to - for men at least
"Hetness and, in most cases, motherhood, are choices"
Just like someone from the Christian Right might say. A textbook example of Horseshoe Theory if I ever saw one.
Yeah, no, Bev. Just like pray-the-gay-away nutjobs who think that gay is a choice and everyone, deep down, is actually straight (or could be, if they really wanted to), you're deluding yourself. Straight women are actually attracted to men. They're just not into you, and they never will be, no matter what kind of argument you make.

In Soviet Russia, HETness is in you . X3
I didn't not choose to "be fucked by men", I chose to "fuck a man". I was and am an active participant too, and often the instigator.
I more or less fit in and am normal. Not being able (or particularly eager) to become a mother doesn't turn me abnormal, nor does it stop me from fitting in.
Providing heirs? Aren't the children the woman's too? They're just as much her heirs as his.
Sexual services? Women like sex too, ya know. It's something that you share, not something that one only gives and the other only receives.

I would not be surprised to hear an MRA utter the same words, except they'd maybe say that this is true for most women.
Some women just prefer dicks, it happens. Just like how some men prefer dicks, some other men prefer vaginas, some women prefer vaginas, and some people are into balloons. It happens and none of them are worse than any of the others as long as everybody involved consents (except for balloons but they're inanimate so they don't count).
*headdesk* no Bev, just no. For some of us gender doesn't come into the choice of a lover, and some honestly desire men. It may be that you can choose because you've not got a particular preference biologically and you choose women because of your beliefs. It may be that you're a lesbian who just can't imagine anyone finding a dude attractive and deciding that women who decide to hook up with them aren't in it for sex or companionship or any other normal reasons. And talking to you about it is pretty much as fruitless as talking to the MRAs or the pray the gay away types, because you've decided that everyone who doesn't agree is brainwashed or lying to start with

Motherhood, maybe but neither heterosexuality or homosexuality are choices. And certainly not hat you seem to be saying here, that lesbianism is natural but heterosexuality isn't. You sound like DJS in reverse.
@magikot
That's what political lesbians argue.
You know how lesbians had to fight against a stereotype that they were only into women because they hate men?
Well political lesbians are here to say that is totally accurate and it's also political!
Confused?
