[You know that if Sean Hannity thinks you're crazy, you're pretty crazy. In this video, he has a member of the Westboro Baptist Church (Fred Phelps' outfit, the one that is protesting military funerals because they believe it's God's punishment for homosexuality), and she sits there and spouts this bullshit with a creepy smile on her face the entire time.]

She looks mentally ill. After all, she's sitting there, talking about magic sky fairies, celebrating death and calling it a good thing, claiming vast numbers of people are horrible because of the way they're born, and has that creepy smile through the whole thing.
Wow... I guess Hannity let Alan have his testicles back for that segment. Didn't interrupt him either.
Hannity was his usual asshat self, although I admit that in this case I had no sympathy for his target. But he's pretty much that much of a tool to everyone that disagrees with him in the slightest. I'd think someone as repugnant as one of the Westboro clan would elicit a stronger response than the average liberal.
What on earth is up with her talking *the* *whole* *time*? Does she not realize that when the hosts talk, she is equalized out to effective unlistenabiity? I mean, talk about dense. Not to mention the pure rudeness of talking every single time someone else talks. She just never stopped!
And yes, her perpetual smile was creepy. It's like she just had a huge injection of botulinin right into all of the muscles involved in frowning.
Plus, her statements were drivel of the highest quality. "You know that sodomy is an abomination, and yet this nation rises up with one voice to say it's okay to be gay." Uh ... no it doesn't. How many states have passed amendments to their constitutions to restrict the definition of marriage?
Though I must admit, I've always loved how they focus singlemindedly on the one "abomination" while utterly ignoring everything Jesus said about charity and loving your neighbor. I mean, it's just so hard to parody them since nothing can be stranger than what they actually say.
"You know that if Sean Hannity thinks you're crazy, you're pretty crazy."
No, I don't know that. But, in this case, much like the proverbial broken clock, he got this one spot on.
Of course, the Phelps family can't pick fights with normal people. They can't do normal lobbying like the rest of the fundies. They have to take their 100 members and protest at -funerals- of all places. After all, dead people can't protest back.
After watching that clip and despite my attitude towards most news networks, I actually gained a little respect for Fox. At least we can both agree that those Baptist fucks are insane and require extensive medical treatment. When those two guys bashed her down, they deserved a medal.
I think that this video is not fundie. To begin with, don´t be fooled. This woman is being humilliated in public because she and all her family are WELL AWARE that nobody has any love for them. Moreover, they use every single violent act to boicot the funerals but not because they´re convinced BUT BECAUSE THEY GET PUBLICITY. That church is empty and they know that the more Sean insults them, the better, because they look more like victims, in fact.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
