Dinosaurs were in existance in the Word of God. Job referred to a 'leviathan', and the leviathan is mentioned three other times in Scripture. In fact, we see dinosaurs today - they are also called reptiles. They may be smaller today than they were 7,000 years ago, but so are we. And, yes there is a Biblical explanition for that as well. It has been proven that tomato plants can be three stories tall when grown in a chamber with a higher atmospheric pressure and oxygen concentration. This would be much like the atmosphere was before the flood when the atmosphere was compressed by the canopy of water. We can easily suppose that all plants and animals in that environment would be much larger - even man.
As for the other accounts of global events... they were global events which were documented in all records.
And finally, no other religioin predates Christianity. Christianity is the worship of Christ. Christ is the ever existing one and people have worshiped Christ since people were created by God!

Didn't Jesus live in the first century CE? (2000 years ago) Also, even by the reckoning of fundamentalists, the Earth is 6000 years old. So, how would early monotheists worship (for 4000 years) someone they knew nothing about even before he was born? I wonder if BR could explain these for me.
It is just fascinating to watch to what great lenghts these people will go to try to reconcile the reality of our world (and the universe) with the absurdity of the tales told in the Babble.

Umm Christianity dates to about the reign of Augustus (30 BC to 24 AD)
Judaism dates to about 800 BC, Hinduism dates to around 2500 BC
It was in the reign of Augustus, That the first KRYSTOS=CHRISTS started to appear in the eastern mediteranian basin. These christs were generaly dirty and smelly men in rags who ranted against women and schollasticim.
pesto: A lot of paleontologists have been saying that dinosaurs were not that similar to modern reptiles. Many of them may have had scales, but they were probably warm-blooded. And a number of them may have had feathers. There's also some stuff about dinosaur hip joints being a lot more bird-like than they are lizard-like, but I don't really know the details on that because I am not a paleontologist and my grasp of anatomy is quite limited.

Even if we ignore the non-existent "experiments" with tomato plants, the dangers of extreme air pressure and oxygen concentration, have the fundies ever explained HOW the purported "canopy of water" stayed up above the earth without falling? What happened to all the water after it fell?
So millions of years ago (or even 6000 years ago) all those people worshiping trees, the sun, the moon, the ground, their toe, etc were all worshiping Jesus before he even existed?
