The Global Warming movement is a cult. It askews people's views, and creates a movement that includes New Agers and Environmentalist. Their view has nothing to do with Christian stewartship of the Earth and it's inhabitance it's based on the goddess concept and evidently our environment is affected by of all things, now hodl on to your hats folks, cause this one is going to blow you away. But aparently our enviroment is affected by...sin! Yes I know that it's hard to believe, but it has been proven that sin is the cause of Natural Disasters and yes, Global Warming! Shocking isn't it? Since the creation and fall of Adam and Eve, we have been progressing toward this end time scenerio...now, is the time that all good Christians to turn their hearts and mind back to the Creator....

No, no, no. It's neither sin, nor gravity that holds us down. It's the air spirits pushing us out of their way whenever leave the ground... now that, my friends, is science!
So, "Look, we're destroying the world" means that it's OK and I should feel good about it?
P.S. Even if sin does exist, it has never been proven that sin causes natural disasters or global warming. Quit making up crap.
You couldn't be more wrong and stupid than if you went to university and and received a degree in being wrong and stupid.
Sit down, keep quiet and don't disturb the adults.
No. Global warming is no cult. Fundamentalism bears many of the marks of a cult, though.
Why should warnings of global warming have anything to do with Christian anything. The warnings are as a result of practical stewardship of the Earth.
The linking of 'sin' and natural disasters is risable. The weather that passes through the bible belt is far more severe, and causes far more in terms of natural disasters than in godless Europe. So that one fact pops that little balloon with no difficulty whatsoever. In a word, this proposition of sin = weather = natural disaster is pure Fantasy.
As to the end times, your own scriptures promise that Christ would return during the very life of some of those living in the first century of the Christian era. He didn't. That is a promise broken. And no amount of juggling with words and meanings can alter that fact. Almost two thousand years later there are still people trying to square the circle on this one, refusing absolutely to face reality - denying reality and the very words of scripture - to satisfy a myth they have been told to believe in. And, no doubt, to satisfy some deep inner need and insecurity. Pathetic.
Nope. If our sins are the cause of Global Warming, it's because of the sins of pride and greed. Otherwise, the environment doesn't care who you bed, who you kill and who you lie to .
Surprisingly I agree with this when he says "Sin is the cause of Global Warming". To a point.
So, bulldozer, why don't all you fundies quit sinning by thinking you can rape and pillage the earth and start doing something to fix it. I believe that would take REPENTANCE.
What have you assholes all got against mother nature?! You know, if you believe God created Adam from the dust of the earth, that would make the earth your mother, right? Why do you hate your mother? Taking care of the earth shouldn't have anything to do with religion or politics; you should just fucking DO it. And whether or not there really is a God, whether or not global warming is caused by humans, hell whether or not you even have kids, the earth is like a home you rent and when you're done living here you should leave it in as good of shape or better than you found it for future generations. I hate idiots like you who think it's your right to destroy the earth just because you think the world is coming to an end. The rest of us don't believe it so FUCK YOU.
Y'know, for people who are so insistent on using Pascal's Wager, why do they not apply it on a situation with real, tangible results? We stay the course, maybe nothing goes wrong. Maybe it's all just (no pun intended) hot air. Or maybe we manage to completely decimate this planet. We change our ways, and at least we know we're safe.
Actually bulldozer, "Global Warming Movement" pretty much a political movement. Now "Rapture", that's a cult, invented in the nineteeth century with dubious scriptural backing!
Yes. Definitely turn your minds back in to the Creator. You're not using them, and they can go to someone who actually will.
Recycling fundies saves the planet!
I really wish he could get more idiots to believe this-then we could ask him to explain why the most religiously-inclined poulations live in the worst areas. Devout christians, jews, and muslims inhabit some of the harshest deserts and stormy, hurricane battered beachfront in the world. The more secular areas of the U.S. and Europe are gorgeous and temparate. Believers in the midwest U.S. must be training for the sodomy olympics to deserve all of those tornadoes every summer, and blizzards every winter! Out here in sinful California, we get only one little earthquake every two years or so-probably punishment for voting republican when we know better!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
