Also, and I feel really silly having to explain this to you, your notions of gender wrt culture and fashion are less than a century old. Possibly less, depending on how specific we want to get. Take a look at, let's say, medieval Italy and get back to me on how tights will destroy the country.

It's also pretty obvious that this guy is taking talking points from something that was posted here earlier (I think it was a radio transcript) that used both the phrase "the metrosexual thing" and "the gender blender". We discussed this recently. Skinny pants is fucking irrelevant to god, surely, since men have been wearing skinny pants, or even basically tights, for centuries. If you lived in Europe, you probably wouldn't have such a USA-based concept of God. Of course, In the US, men have mostly worn trousers and women have mostly worn skirts. But so what? In Europe, before the founding fathers, when god was pretty much ubiquitous and atheism as a term hadn't been coined, men wore tights. All children wore dresses. And might I remind you that Jesus would have worn robes? How can you possibly imagine that your god has any interest in what the current fashions in clothing are?

Are you kidding? He didn't notice almost the entire Christian city of Lisbon being destroyed by an earthquake in 1755. He didn't notice a third of the population of Europe being destroyed by the Plague, despite people crawling to the church on their knees to beg Him to relent. He didn't notice 2/3 of the European Jewish population being eradicated by the Nazis. He didn't notice at least nine Baptist churches being wipe out by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. He didn't notice almost eight million people dying in agony of cancer last year, despite the fact that I'll bet most of them prayed and begged for forgiveness and relief for all they were worth. What makes you think He'll give a rat's butt about what kind of pants and shoes guys wear in Denver - especially since, if you were old enough to remember, those skinny pants and shoes are the same ones most men, including good conservative Christians, were wearing in the 1950's?
