I find it amazing that the Atheist's have been allowed through our legal system to take away the basic rights of more than 90% of the population. Soon this country will be referred to be a nation of sinners. Amen, pass the bible on that one. What's that now? I know you probably are of the persuasion that atheists have no moral imperative, but that's untrue. We have absolutely no motivation (at least as a group; individual opinions are just that) to take rights from anyone. . . just the opposite, in fact. We have exactly the same rights as you do, and we don't want to change that. At the same time, we have exactly the same rights as you do, and we want to preserve that for ourselves, rather than let your types take them away.

I dont think you know what 'basic rights' are or how they're taken away. You do not have a 'basic right' to have government officials leading prayers. Marriage however has been defined by the supreme court as one of the basic rights of man...

This is why I object to the current definition of the word "democracy". Our nation is governed by laws, not by the whim of the majority. Unfortunately, people like this hear the term "democracy" and assume that means majority rules.
The "rights" you talk about? You never had them. When atheists and others of non-Christian belief take cases to court involving religious displays and what have you, they are pointing out that such things are already in violation of the law. Mind you, I'm quite sure there's been the occasional Christian that's recognized the limits of religious expression as they apply to our legal systam and has fought alongside these atheists. But then, I don't suppose you'd consider them True Christians.
Oh, and the American legal system is framed around Minority Rights, not, as is commonly believed Majority Rule. The Founding Fathers were well aware that Majority Rule leads to tyranny. So when the Minority has their say, that means the system is working as it should.
What basic right? The right of the government to force everyone to acknowledge God? Not only is that not a right, it's specifically forbidden by the First Amendment.

Yeah, it's called the Constitution. The damn thing keeps stopping the majority from imposing their will on everyone else in matters of religion, free speech, property rights, slavery, etc.
Oh you're saying it's the athiests that are systematically taking away the rights of large groups of people such as women, gays, and... oh wait, that's you. Ah, I see what you mean, those damn athiests are taking away your god given right to hatred and bigotry. You poor thing, so persecuted.
What a crock of shit. Persecution complex due to paranoia, you need medical attention, and quick. Maybe someone should start a foundation, to allow fundies the opportunity to get the medical attention they so desperately need.
