['Women are in church to worship same as the men so why should men be able to be expressive in worship but not the woman?']
Because contrary to what society today will tell you, men and women are not equal. The man is to be the authority figure in and outside of church. I don't know that I have a problem with women saying amen to where only their husbands, for example, can hear it though.

I never understood the idea of someone being between you and God. Maybe it's because I was raised Baptist and not Catholic, but it seems that your relationship to God isn't about anyone's authority. It's you + God. How can anyone worship in your proxy or rightfully limit your power to worship?
And basing this on sex? BULLSHIT!
Sorry, are you saying that we are crippled or what?, and why men, do they carry the kids or are better able of taking care of them?, why are they the authoritative figure, those guys who are unable to survive by themselves?
mad dog, this person will never have a wife. If they get married, they will have a servant and a slave, but not a wife.
Yeah, every Mormon I know (admittedly, few) are all the nicest Americans I know. And the most promiscuous, for some reason.
FishyFred, I believe they are referring to the Stepford-like blind, smiling obedience required of Mormoms. Yeah, they are nice. They are programmed that way.

Jesus preached to women. Specifically. So why can't they say "amen" in church? All it means is "so shall it be" (latin to Dutch to English, so there might be a little hickup in the translation).
@KJV Luke 10
38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
In other words, women are supposed to listen to the stories of Jesus and be involved in christianity over being busy in the household.
"Because contrary to what society today will tell you, men and women are not equal. The man is to be the authority figure in and outside of church."
Well, according to the Bible, that's true. That's one of the many problems with using the Bible, or any other ancient scripture, as a guide for life in the modern world.
"I don't know that I have a problem with women saying amen to where only their husbands, for example, can hear it though."
How magnanimous of you. Of course, you're not even well enough grounded ethically to come out in favor of women being allowed to say "amen" quietly, you just "don't know." Bold leadership from you, the Bible-proclaimed authority figure.
The scary thing is, this guy probably has a groveling, butt-kissing asswipe of a girlfriend who actually agrees and puts up with this attitude. He doesn't want a real woman; he wants a Labrador retriever with tits. My wife, a good, hot-blooded Joizey Italian, would slap this guy's nuts out his nostrils!

This is such a dark and desolate thought, Sandman.

I love that he's still ambivalent about this one.
Hybrid: Sounds good to me! Hey, I may be white myself, but I know my place. If God had meant for us to show our faces outside of the home, he would have given us more melanin! Sunburn and skin cancer are God's punishment, for asserting ourselves too much and infringing on a realm not meant for us!
Where only his husband can hear her. Well, so, why being a member of the church anyway?, we don´t have to go, I guess, if this guy were right.

This one reminds me of the rules in the fanatical early Puritan colonies in America. Proudly Marching Into The 17th Century Award?

upallnite: I am yet to meet a grown woman that would not kick the snot out of you for saying something like that.
Good luck beating your meat for the rest of your life.
Too bad he's not beating his meat right now instead of hanging about at Bro. Randy's online fuckwittery and all-night brain laundry. Masturbation would be a LOT more productive.
How magnanimous of you, oh lord and master! Am I allowed to breathe, too, or is that too much to ask?
Worthless asshole!
If you don't want to hear the sentiment of women, you will not be in the company of women, stupid.
Have fun in your gay career.
It's society today that counts, dumbass, not society 2000 and 4000 years ago. Let bygones be bygones.
