"We [Democrats and Republicans] really do need to work together, no?"
NO
whenever i observe a committed opponent urging cooperation i am reminded of how readily the jews cooperated and peacefully loaded the boxcars for the nazis -

In other words, Joan thinks it's better to violently oppose any compromise out of pure insane obsession, rather than try to get along for the good of the people.
Also, it's funny how she compares herself to the Jews in WWII, when so many of her fellow far-right WLDers are white supremacists...
My German blood boils whenever someone says something wrong about happy nazitime.
They went in because it was that or being murdered immediately. Then they were murdered a bit later.
Never lie about nazitime. There will always be Germans to remember the truth. It is our duty to the world.
In January 2001, Joan was saying, "The election is over, your guy lost, get over it and cooperate."
I think if the GOP keeps its “Say no to everything coming from anyone with a D after their name”-attitude, they will be in for even more lost elections in the next few years.
And I also think the higher-ups in the party are starting to see it that way, too. Even Newt Gingrich said something to that effect last week at the Colbert Report. So people like Joan here are most likely in for a disappointment.
And if not and the fundy part of the GOP keeps its power, the whole party will slowly lose its influence altogether.
I guess it's only a matter of time. Republicans have to live in communities, known as ghettos, sealed off from the rest of America, crowded dozens to a room, where they are starved of the most basic foods and medical attention. They are put to work like slaves and owning a radio, let alone a gun, is forbidden. Republicans, of course, have the big letter 'R' stamped on their identity documents which they have to carry around with them all the time, though you just have to look at their clothes with the big red 'R' sewn on the front and back to tell who they are. Republicans aren't allowed into non-Republican shops (the only ones that have anything), nor may they go to concerts, walk in the park or sit on benches reserved for non-Republicans.
I thought these FEMA camps were only a figment of fevered imagination...
I'm kinda surprised to see this comment replayed here - I'm the Democrat who started that thread.
When I first started interacting w/ these folks a few months ago, I got some flak but Scott spoke up for me, calling me the honorable opposition. That's when they thought they were going to win.
Look at how the attitudes changed when they lost. I couldn't get one reasonable response to my questions, not in six pages.
*shrug*
Confused?
