Hell must be overflowing with scientists...
...while you're waiting in line, here's something for you atheists to ponder: even Einstein, one of science's greatest heroes, conceded that there must be a God. I guess most scientists just aren't smart enough to arrive at similar conclusions.

Einstein was mis-quoted , genius. By you fundies. He was as atheistic as the next guy.
And even if "even Einstein" was deluded enough to believe in old Yahweh, it'd not make his existence true. Facts are fact and superstitious belief is superstitious belief, regardless of who subscribes to what.
From Wikipedia:
"In response to the telegrammed question of New York's Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein in 1929: "Do you believe in God? Stop. Answer paid 50 words." Einstein replied in only 25 (German) words: "I believe in Spinoza's God, Who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind."
PizzaWhore fails.
"Hell must be overflowing with scientists..."
Who have found a way to use the fires of Hell to power an air conditioning system.
"even Einstein, one of science's greatest heroes, conceded that there must be a God. I guess most scientists just aren't smart enough to arrive at similar conclusions."
Except Einstein didn't concede that, and most fundies aren't smart enough to know that.
It was, of course, a lie ... about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly.
From a letter written by Einstein dated March 24, 1954.
"Albert Einstein: The Human Side", edited by Helen Dukas and Banesh Hoffman, Princeton University Press.
From the same book:
I do not believe in immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it.
Even though that is bullshit, if we were to assume that Einstein did believe in god, that is still not evidence to support gods existence. This would be an argument from authority and these arguments are bullshit.
say what?
Sorry but no, Einstein conceded that there MIGHT be a god, or 2 or 10, But that there was not enough clear evidence to warrant his (Einsteins) adhering to a religion.
Of course fundies will generaly lie to justify their cults.
TDR,
"science has heroes now?
nerds in capes and tights?"
Heres the short list bub.
Dr Henry Mcoy, MD and geneticist.
Dr Hank Pym, Chemist and engineer.
Prince T'challa, Computer geek and technophile.
Dr Reed Richards, More degrees than you can shake a stick at.
Alexander Summers Phd, Geologist.
Dr Steven Strange, MD, Practiced micro surgery before nerve damage forced him to retire.
Dr Walter Langowski, MD
Most scientists are religious, 'za-ho. A lesser porportion than in the rest of the world, sure; but you should try to get your facts strai- What am I saying? Nevermind: I didn't mean to scare you by mentioning the "f" word.
D Laurier -
Don't even start, mate. Too many to list. And where the Hell's Feynman? And Sagan? And -*erk*
Point proven.
Einstein has been deliberately quoted out of context so many times by you fundies it's not even funny anymore.
Also, if Hell is overflowing with scientists, I'd rather go there then to a Heaven full of stupid fundies like you. That is assuming that Hell and Heaven actually exist, which I doubt.
TDR, as I read your comment, I had a mental image of Bill Gates dressed as Superman. Then I ran for the bathroom. Gates is an amazing human being, but no one should imagine him wearing tights!
yeah guess what, Einstien wasnt christian, so dont claim him as one of yours, he liked spinoza's God, which makes him a pantheist pagan.
Lying again for Jesus.
And to think...
[from the Gospel of Thomas]:
6. His disciples asked him and said to him, "Do you want us to fast? How should we pray? Should we give to charity? What diet should we observe?"
Jesus said, "Don't lie, and don't do what you hate, because all things are disclosed before heaven. After all, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will remain undisclosed."
BAD revisionist fundie. BAD.
Jesus is smelling your bullshit right now.
A. This is appealing to authority; a common logical fallacy.
B. No he didn't. He claimed, verbatim, that "religious fervor is a waste of time".
Hell must be overflowing with scientists...
well why don't you go there and check up on it, real soon.
Einstein's "god" is not your god. Go the fuck on, religious tard. (Directed at OP.)
God, in the context that Einstein refers more to nature, than anything. Don't twist words around that you don't understand.
even Einstein, one of science's greatest heroes, conceded that there must be a God.
a) missed out on the Nobel for his most important stuff, though
and b) bullshit. To quote "I do not beleve in a personal God."
Actually Einstein DID NOT concede that there is a God. He looked at it logically and decided that there probably ISNT a God but the ramifications of his being wrong were far too dire. So he picked blind faith anyway.
You will find out what hell consists of when you get there!
Another misleading knowledge is atheism straw man. And frivolous threats. Well, it's like that irresistible forbidden Eden tree of knowledge. Deceptively planted there to deceive Adam and Eve and make humanity "fall". If the Earth and life were really created by said God, he planted evidence meant for humans to discover that directly leads them to hell when they do.
But since it's only ancient men stories, it's simpler than that. Some cults exploit people by enforcing obscurantism to more easily manipulate them. Thus, empowering knowledge is demonized and so are those who know. Those outside of the cult are not in hell, they're the free people who have more opportunities to be happy. Those inside are a type of lower caste, sacrificing what may be their only life, for the benefit of an exploitator. Prone to fatalism, depression, misery, etc. Their "happiness" is being told that they're better than everyone else, the evil "worldy other". Their comfort apparently rests on the sadistic envy for them to suffer... Likely out of jealousy.
I got out of one, I hope that more could free themselves.
As conclusion, there exists mainstream Christianity (and other religions) that doesn't need that kind of slavery, where fidels can accept reality and even participate in the awesome universal process of knowledge discovery, science. That's not atheism yet knowledge is not taboo.
Confused?
