FSTDT Top Tip: Before working, in which you know you're going to get your hands caked in dirt, oil, grease et al (a bike or even a car engine etc), spray a little WD-40 on your hands, and rub it in; work it well in, into every nook & corner. After said dirty task, wash your hands as normal. You'll find the dirt, gunk etc just slides off, leaving clean hands. It even works on blood-soiled skin.
