When Bergoglio comes to his third accusation - Judas was an egocentric who had isolated himself from the community - in principle he is correct. Any traitor is motivated by his own interests and has no care for anything else.
But, what Francis is stressing here is not this banality. Instead, he is repeating the progressivist thesis that no one can have a private relationship with God and individual spiritual life, but rather must share everything with the community. It is a kind of spiritual Communism.
With this we see that the accusations Pope Francis made against Judas have little to no actual value.
Certainly they do not excuse Francis from being a follower of Judas in his hatred for the external glorification of God and in his pretext that the Church must give up her pomp and sacrality to better help the poor.
What remains to be analyzed on another occasion is whether or not Francis’ eagerness to please the Jews - his first letter some hours after being elected was for them - can be considered as selling the Mystical Body of Christ to the Jews, as Judas did with Our Lord.

I seem to remember Augustine telling that one can do anything outside the Church, including having private spiritual life, but achieve salvation - that can only be found within the Church. One of the Lateran Councils made this dogma - there is no salvation, but one found within the community of Church. Also, it looks like you're siding with Judas. As I understand it, it's something of a no-no, for us, Catholics.
It's not Pope Francis idea, stupid! That sharing with everyone is IN THE BIBLE, and yes, it is spiritual Communism. If you don't like it, take it up with Jesus.
Pope Francis is the most Christ-like pope for centuries. I can understand why you "Christians" hate him...
This picture fits well here, I think:

As gimel says, isn't that kinda what the Church is for? Isn't the point about Judas that he abandoned the company of Jesus for his own sake?

What might Jesus be better pleased with: the Pope going into the night to help the homeless of Rome, or him wearing red shoes and a triple tiara?
The word "ecclesia," from which we get the words "ecclesiastic" and "church" comes from a Greek word for an assembly. The Christian church is a gathering of equals by definition. If one part of the body is neglecting or abusing another part, the assembly is, again by definition, not equal.
No one is saying that you can't have a private relationship with your god. If that's what your spiritual life is all about though, don't fool yourself into thinking that you are a member of a church.
"selling the Mystical Body of Christ to the Jews, as Judas did with Our Lord."
But, didn't Christ rise again? (Not as a result of Colonel Herzog shouting "AUFSTEHEN!!" but still..)
And wasn't it the *point* that he was to die, so he could be ressurected?
Atila's Bible must read something like this:
And Jesus spake unto his disciples, saying "Verily, I say unto thee: Fuck the poor. Dollah-dollah bills, y'all."
Without judas, Jesus would never have been crucified
So why do you vilify him? He made Jesus' dying for your sins possible
Yes, the Jews. All of the problems in the world can be traced back to the Jews, if you try hard enough. And you racist, anti-Semitic bastards are nothing, if not persistent, amirite?
he is repeating the progressivist thesis that no one can have a private relationship with God and individual spiritual life,
Where does this conclusion come from? His "logic" seems to be that Francis is asserting:
a) Judas was motivated by self-interest
b) Judas was bad
c) Ergo, no one should ever be motivated by self-interest.
... a kind of Judas-based Godwin.
Dear Atila Sinke Guimarães,
In the name of all decent people, please shut the fuck up and go to hell.
You may choose any order you prefer.
Yes His, we all know how opposed you are to falsehood.
So, has Jesus made any more manifestations at your church?
A little usage of Google suggests that yes, TiA is sedevacantist.
Meanwhile, the phrase "hatred for the external glorification of God" is telling, along with putting "pomp" and "sacrality" together like that. TiA apparently can't stand the idea that the Church could stand to be less overweening. Maybe they're afraid that if the Church doesn't overawe the masses, the Church will instead be overawed by Lucifer?
MATTHEW 6:5-7
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
MATTHEW 6:16-18
16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Your call, Guimarães.

What makes you think Catholicism is not the true religion? It IS a form of Christianity. And Jesus taught that when you deny the poor their food you are doing the same to Jesus. Did he not say "what you do to the least of them you do to me?"
Or are you just a fundamentalist hypocrite who rejects all the things Jesus taught?
