“If Christianity worked, you would not be seeing the emergence of the age of reason... but you are witnessing its birth."
Atheism--the age of reason? It is leading us back into the dark ages--of talking primates, we are made of stardust, we are cousins of bananas, believing in walking whales, spinning through space on a planet made by nothing for no reason at all.

"It is leading us back into the dark ages"
We're not the ones denying reality like back then. The dark ages kinda were like that because christianty ruled and surpressed all advancement, dumbass. Seriously, would it kill you to read a non-bible book for once in your life?
"of talking primates"
You mean like you?
"we are cousins of bananas"
Okay, this is just tooooooo easy. So I'll leave it to someone who can make a really good snark out of it.
"believing in walking whales"
Ray, what are you smoking this time?
It was Christianity that ruled the dark age.
Also no one said anything about atheism, stop bringing it up for no reason Ray.
"It is leading us back into the dark ages"
That's what religion is doing. Science-deniers like you, Ray, are leading us back to the dark ages.
If we are being led back into the dark ages, why has life expectancy continued to improve? Why has medicine continued to improve? Why has transportation continued to improve? Why have computers and cell phones continued to improve? They must have had some awesome cell phones in the dark ages, if that is where we are being led...
Exactly what advancements in the quality of life can we expect from Christianity, banana-brain?
Admit it, Ray, you don't really follow Christ, do you? How's that "sell all you have, give to the poor, and follow me" thing going? What's that? You aren't selling anything you have or giving to the poor? See, I told you, you don't follow Christ at all. Shut the fuck up and stop claiming you do.

The dark ages of talking donkeys, women are made out of rib-bones, believing in walking snakes, spinning through space on a planet made by some deity for no reason at all, you mean?
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
'Cause it's bugger all down here on Earth

"...spinning through space on a planet made by nothing for no reason at all. "
And therein lies a big part of your problem, Ray; you've got it in your head that the planet (or any other part of the natural universe) requires a reason for existing.
Pro-tip: they do not.
Atheism--the age of reason? It is leading us back into the dark ages
Atheists created the computers and internet bringing information from around the world instantly. The wealth of knowledge can be more easily shared. Atheist scientists also make new discoveries every day.
Religion, on the other hand, would rather we remain ignorant and keeps trying to refute scientific discoveries.
We already went through one dark age, guess who was in charge during that?
But yet atheist science has found or keeps getting closer and closer to the truth about the universe, and by doing so continues to produce useful discoveries and knowledge to improve the quality of human lives. It's interesting how fast science has advanced in the past 150 years compared to the 1500 before it. And guess who was in charge these past 150 years, hmm...
Ray, if we're being led back into the dark ages, why do you want the latest in medicines and antibiotics? Since according to you we're going backwards, why don't you want the "advanced" medicine practiced 1000 years ago when Christianity was in control?
Confused?
