All the more reason why the bible should never be law in this country. I'll take a gay man as a coworker, friend, neighbor, etc. over a jackass like you any day. If nothing else it would dramatically decrease the odds that I'd have to report him for domestic violence.

See, this is where we either have a breakdown of communication or the 'Pastor' hasn't actually researched the principles of feminism and has still decided it means female domination. So many fundy men do this, it's really quite incredible.

To clarify: the core of feminism is equality. Equal pay for equal work, the right to determine one's own destiny, that kind of thing. It doesn't mean we want to rule you. I realize 'equality' is a difficult concept for you because it means you don't get to be the most special and unique snowflake any longer, and given your attitude toward people of other religions, we know christians aren't into that. There is the occasional rogue element but in general we do not wish to play mommy and lead you around. You assume we do because you see women as subordinates to yourselves and you project that back onto us.

Equality also means equal say in a relationship or marriage, which is most certainly not the same as having a woman boss you around. Not female domination, equal say and the respect of her spouse.

If [/Spartan Laconic Wit] the Bible is not only 'True', but Fact as you Bible Literalists keep banging on & on about, then these reptiles with vocal abilities must exist to this day, must they not...?!

And remember - as per 'Cherrypicking' (that bit of Leviticus, as opposed to the rest you conveniently ignore when it's doctrinally lethal to you; one word: Hypocrisy) you cannot switch the Bible's 'Fable & Metaphor' aspects on & off when it suits you (as in when it could be doctrinally lethal for you): either the Bible is provable (1 Thessalonians 5:21 [KJV]) fact throughout, word-for-word, letter-for-letter, and which must be obeyed word-for-word, letter-for-letter (thus you're doctrinally fucked, re. the rest of Leviticus), or it's ALL Lies. Word-for-word, letter-for-letter. Throughout.

And your entire 'beliefs' are therefore annihilated in the process. So go ahead, find for me a talking snake. NOW. Enjoy your paradox - and in more ways than one.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV) - 'Prove all things' - is fundie Christianity's own death sentence. No 'Belief' required (pun may or may not be intended).

it also teaches that you should sell everything you own, give away all your money and just wander around spreading the word... bet you don't do that.

It also teaches that those who are public about their faith when NOT asked about it are the ones who are NOT Christian at all... just whitened sepulchres.

Oh, and the Bible teaches that any person claiming to be the Messiah had to fulfil every single Messianic Prophecy before they died... Jesus sure as fuck didn't do that.

And quite possibly the kicker... do you ask every single female you meet if they are on their period or not? If not, you cannot possibly be following what the Bible teaches and you are going straight to the hell you most likely want to condemn others to.

If you want women to stay at home, then they ought to be the boss of the home, stupid. A real man knows that you ought to listen to the person who knows best, regardless of gender. I'd say that "effeminate" men are the ones who whine that they are not the bosses of the world any more.

The Bible actually teaches that Thou Shalt Not Kill. It's right there in the Ten Commandments, stupid. You ought to remember at least that, if you're a pastor.

Genesis chapters 1 and 2 contradicts each other, they can't both be true.

I'be been alive 47 years as of August 11. I've learned Tyee was rebuilt. That Jesus taught love and compassion and would oppose televangelists and Christian nationalists. Also aren't you divorced?
