If you want to go home and have your wife boss you around and lord over you, I’ll tolerate you doing that. But that’s not the way it’s going to be in my house, because I’m actually a real man who actually is in charge in my home, and I’m not an effeminate man who lets my wife boss me around and tell me what to do, like most men are becoming today, unfortunately.
See, this is where we either have a breakdown of communication or the 'Pastor' hasn't actually researched the principles of feminism and has still decided it means female domination. So many fundy men do this, it's really quite incredible.
To clarify: the core of feminism is equality. Equal pay for equal work, the right to determine one's own destiny, that kind of thing. It doesn't mean we want to rule you. I realize 'equality' is a difficult concept for you because it means you don't get to be the most special and unique snowflake any longer, and given your attitude toward people of other religions, we know christians aren't into that. There is the occasional rogue element but in general we do not wish to play mommy and lead you around. You assume we do because you see women as subordinates to yourselves and you project that back onto us.
Equality also means equal say in a relationship or marriage, which is most certainly not the same as having a woman boss you around. Not female domination, equal say and the respect of her spouse.
Nothing in the Bible has been proven not to be true. And I’ve been alive for 31 years and everything I’ve ever seen just proves that the Bible is true.
