I didn't "choose" to be an atheist any more than I "chose" to accept gravity and the color of the sky. I am an atheist because people such as yourself have provided absolutely no evidence supporting the existence of your god(s). I could become a member of your belief system today if you showed me some evidence for its veracity.

Now you're implying that suicide results from atheism. Do you have statistics to back this up? I'm an atheist and I have never remotely considered suicide. If anything I would suppose that disbelief in the afterlife would make one less likely to consider suicide (although like yourself, I have no statistics to back this).
