Regarding Jesus falsely telling people in Matthew 16:28 that the end of the world would come in their lifetimes
Hold on cowboy, Christ says "28 “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
So the burden of proof on you to establish that Christ's Kingdom did not come as described before all of those men died.

When Christ's kingdom was established, there would be no more death (Paul was very clear on that.) There have been quite a few deaths since Matthew was written. Christ's kingdom could not have come, point proven.
Do come back the next time you need a lesson in your religion.
Now, Paul admitted that he never heard Jesus preach while he was alive, and we can rest assured that he never read Matthew (if he had, he would have urged his followers to burn it in every following epistle.) If you want to believe that Jesus was right, it is conceivable that Paul was just plain wrong. However, that would call all of Paul's writings, including your lot's favorite passages, into question.
Drich, Drich, Drich, there's an easier way. It is common for fundamentalists to dismiss that passage by saying that it meant either people alive when Israel was refounded, or just Israel being around in general. Still a cop out, though.
No Drich,
The burden of proof is still on you to not only prove what "god's kingdom" is, but whether it came or not during the crowd's lifetime.
You see, you're religion is the one making the claim, you are the one who has to back it up. That's the way that argument works.
The burden of proof is on us to do nothing of the sort. You're claiming some bullshit about Christ coming back in the year fuck-knows-what, you prove it happened. You can start by finding us a living person who is about 1980 years old.
You can't, though, can you?
Parkview Cemetary in Montgomery County. Rockville to be more direct a suburb of DC. The people who are dying left and right. The shit happening in this world unless the Kingdom of Heaven has wars, rapes,deaths, and other problems in which case it isn't perfect. Beautiful but with flaws.
Maybe Jesus did come in His kingdom but He hasn't appeared on Earth yet. So maybe He wasn't being false, just tricksy?
I wonder if the burden of proof is on everyone else to establish that Drich is a deluded moron? If it is, then proving it is a mere trifle. Just search for his quotes on FSTDT.
All this talk of falsities and truths and burdens of proof and yet .... atheism grows by leaps and bounds. Yawn! Still waiting.
Well, this is different. Usually, at this point, I expect them to use the one-day-is-1000-years-in-the-eye-of-God argument; an argument that is equally as retarded as the one the OP is using.
If you're allowed to make stuff up out of thin air, you can invent an "explanation" for almost anything. For that passage, they usually revolve around:
(a) Christ has actually come into his kingdom (i.e., he rose and ascended into heaven);
(b) Jesus didn't mean actual, physical death;
(c) the Gospel of John implies John was to remain alive until Jesus' return; unlike the other 11, there's no record of John's death and some "Holy Grail" conspiracy theorists claim he's still alive.
So, Drich, Christ's message was that his Kingdom would be exactly the same as life as it was? In which case, what was the point of his coming?
So, like Elvis, Jesus ain't dead he just gone home?
But wait, he specifically said he'd be back in time for them to see whole immotal happy fun time world? We ain't immortal. Shit ain't perfect. We still see them idolators you keep flapping yer gums about.
Sorry there cowpoke, you done gone made a mistake.
"So the burden of proof on you to establish that Christ's Kingdom did not come as described before all of those men died."
If that were so, then the Gospels ( none of which appeared earlier than 40 years after Christ's death) singularly fail to mention it.
The Epistles also don't mention it.
Most telling, Revelation, according to fundamentalist interpretation, seems to be expecting it still to happen.
Your argument makes nonsense of the supposed Rapture.
Confused?
