(What about a 14-year-old girl who finds herself pregnant?)
No 14-year-old girl ever “found” herself pregnant. She got pregnant. This deceptive rhetoric is intended to rationalize abortion by projecting women as victims of their pregnancies rather than participants in them.

If a 14 year old girl can be held responsible just like an adult woman, shouldn't she also be considered responsible enough to vote, drink, drive, make contracts or live on her own? If you wouldn't trust your young daughter with any of these things you might want to ask yourself why you would not also apply different standards when it comes to pregancy, I mean, that's a pretty serious issue compared to something trivial like voting, or driving a car... just saying...
they could be raped, manipulated, the condom could fail, heck the pill could fail. There are all kinds of ways a women could get pregnant accidentally and without willing it.
"She got pregnant." All by herself, apparently. Hey prolifeAmerica, if you don't like abortions, you should've kept your legs shut. Ass.
The hypocrisy astounds. They believe that sexual education should not exist, but also that pregnant women should be held accountable for their actions. I guess they expect Jesus to personally chat with every girl during puberty to explain what her body's going through (and how it is evil).
Let's not even get into the prevailing misogynistic slant of these beliefs.
ProlifeAmerica, you are as ignorant as you are misogynistic.
For the sake of women everywhere, I hope you remain single and alone for your entire life.
Furthermore, I think you should not be allowed near any female under the age of 18 (if at all).
Chagrin--You made my day. I am laughing so hard right now imagining Jesus in my childhood bedroom, looking really uncomfortable and saying "Laurel, there comes a, um, special time in every girl's life...."
'but Johnny, my parents told me I should completely abstain from sex. I don't want to get pregnant.'
'Relax baby, if I pull out at the last second there's no chance of you getting pregnant.'
'Really ???'

'Waaaaaah'
She hardly "got pregnant", that sort of implicate that she intended to get pregnant, and very, very, very few 14-year-olds intend to be mothers at that age.
Isn't there a guy in this scenario too? There's DNA now, ya know, we can check who's the father and he is just as much a participants, often more so when it comes to girls this young.
Your "deceptive rhetoric" is intended to punish young girls, for their naivety and lack of knowledge. Won't someone think of the children?!? (Both the pregnant girl and the unwanted offspring.)
Confused?
