I went through a version of this too. I was studying to be a witch, and had my book of shadows. When I started to believe more in Jesus, I found I had a hard time giving that book of shadows up. But the Lord is ever so gracious! I borrowed the book out to someone else, and that person never returned it to me—Thankfully! I breathed a big sigh of relief, when I realized that I’d never see it again! These kinds of books have demons or unclean spirits associated with them, and I believe that they can keep one from getting rid of them. Kind of like the ring from Tolkien’s trilogy—
