If you don't like these things just don't do them. It's not that difficult.

But until you can prove beyond reasonable doubt to all people that your God exists, that he doesn't like these things, and that we should pay the slightest attention to what he wants, let other people live their lives as they choose.

That's all that needs to be done and these things will stop.

What, you think if gay people stop having sex they'll stop being gay? And if "God's guidelines" means marriage, then gays in countries where same-sex marriage is legal are fine right?

Or were you referring to the American Bible Belt states, where conservative religious dogma regarding sex leads to such low abortion rates? (Hint: I'm being sarcastic, it doesn't)

And you don't want to give up your religion. And in terms of the harm that causes, it's infinitely more of a vice than the things you mentioned.

Greedy? Don't see any money involved.

Hypocrites? That would only be true if the people doing these things pretended to oppose them. There are many people like that, but they're not on our side of the isle.

Selfish and self-centered? Only true if they harm someone else. The first two clearly don't and while you can contend that abortion does, the contention becomes rather weak when you remember the fetus in question has, during the period most abortions are performed, less concsiousness or self-awareness than a fish.

Fuck you. I don't care what "your God's" (read: "your") guidelines are. I don't believe in your God and neither do millions of other people. We are fucking adults and we can decide when we want to have sex and if you don't like it you and your God can kiss my ass.

I'd like that, but that involves comprehensive sex ed and birth control, But that's not what you want, is it? No, you probably want a government ban, which only forces abortion underground where it's more dangerous and less regulated. I'm just as pro-life as anyone but I'm not stupid. I know people have sex and I want a practical solution not some pie-in-the-sky ideal that denies all real world evidence. I also know that adults are capable of making their own decisions about their own bodies.

That's all that needs to be done and these things will stop.

I have a better idea: get off your high horse and stop being such a sanctimonious prick. YOU can go ahead and follow your God's rules but don't for one second think that your religious nonsense gives you license to tell everyone else how to run their lives.

Fighting instinct is a losing battle -as thousands of years of history should demonstrate along with a population of seven billion. Understanding the instinct, making responsible choices is an acceptable form of selfishness and self-centered behavior.

God had sex with a young teen girl without her consent. Not only that, she was engaged to be married in a religion that, if it had really stuck to its laws, would have stoned her to death.

Homosexuality doesn't cease to exist if a homosexual does not have sex or has sex with the other gender.

Throughout the OT, god was perfectly okay with the destruction of heathen and pagan children, babies, and pregnant women. What makes you think abortion concerns him at all? Furthermore, with the case of Sarah and Mary, pregnancy seems to be something god controls, therefore, an abortion is god's will if the woman's heart is hardened to do so.

I reject your over simplification of complex issues. I reject your crazy ideas about the bible. And I would ask you not to break one of the ten commandments by taking your god's name in vain.

Let's take a look at him. He's been single for ages, in fact he never was married. Instead of having a partner himself, he created two humans and got his kicks watching them in the garden, the pervert. The first girl he ever had sex with was a minor and he killed off his own kid.

Perhaps if you lot didn't think yourselves the center of the universe, deserving of being elevated above your peers not on merit, not on character, but simply by the way you were born or what religion you follow, and therefore setting rules for everyone else that you believe you don't have to follow yourselves, then perhaps you wouldn't have the problems you're having these days.

Otherwise, how can they possibly justify their sad existences, if they can't point judgemental fingers at others not exactly like them? Therefore their need to cherry-pick from their precious 'Word of God'; also relying on certain parts of Scripture to justify their unjustifiable prejudices & bigotries (yet ignoring the rest of Leviticus, re. wearing mixed fibres, eating pork & shellfish, etc), and ignoring other parts when they become a little too doctrinally inconvenient for them (Matthew 7:1. Again, they wouldn't be able to justify their sad little existences otherwise).
