[A review of Lilo and Stitch ]
First of all from the movie previews I thought this would be a movie about a loveable little alien. I was immediately caught off guard by the way the movie started a mad scientist playing God creates a diabolical Misfit, experiment 626 or 6(66) deliberately pronounced six two six. From a christian perspective this immediately put me on High alert. Six two six, soul purpose is to destroy. Sounds like the AntiChrist to me. I am extremely offended by anyone altering or the cloning of cells and the reference to 6(66) appalls me. The movie is almost appears to me a forefront to the actual appearance of the antichrist and through its deceptive analogy. Leads us the viewers that something created to be devious can turn out to be good and That modify the gene pool is okay. I believe that these people who write and produce these movies are in league with the devil and are subtly trying to change the way we are influenced and think.
My Ratings: [Very Offensive / 4]

*GASP* How DARE they pronounce six-two-six the way it's pronounced?!
And how the fuck do you get "six sixty six" from it? o_O
Um. Yeah. You know that there is a difference between the number 626 and 666, right?
About 40 numbers different, actually.
I think he means if you think about the number like this:
Six (Two Six), ie. 6 and two sixes. Therefore instead of the number 626, you have 6 and 66 (two sixes).
Basically pulling a pattern out of his arse to link it to the number 666. I'm wondering what ever happened to 616, wasn't it good enough for them?
So what Ted says here is that redemption of demons so that they can become angels-or, by extension, criminals-is bad.
Way to show the other cheek, douchebag.
The use of the so-called number of the beast in films means nothing, other than a fairly unsubtle clue from the film-maker to the more biblically literate members of the audience that something of import is about to happen. I do agree with you that it should be banned, not because it invokes devilry or anything like that but simply because it's grossly overused and consequently extremely tacky and annoying by now.
Edit: unless you subvert the trope, like Futurama did by doing it in binary. A nerdier film-maker with a slightly greater sense of subtlety might, for example, have called it experiment 29A.
This is an evil Lilo & Stitch post!

@Man-Called-True:
Seriously? That would have been much cooler, though I think they may have had a hard time shoe horning in "Devil in DISGUISE" then. >.> Not to mention he was too cute and cuddly to be a devil. (Seriously, I just want to hug him and cuddwe him and pinch his cuddwy wittwe cheeks. <.<)
My niece is going to 'school' at a Lutheran church because my sister doesn't like Denver Public Schools. She also attends Catholic Church with some older relatives.
Combine the two, and you get why I deliberately asked her if she's seen 'The Princess and the Frog' when she called last night. She has, and she loves it.
She's five, and quite clearly has more on the ol' ball than this yahoo.
"soul(sic) purpose"
HAHAHAHAHAHA

@Doubting Thomas
"So I guess the Mazda 626 is a demon car? "
Why, yes; yes it is. Since Ahura Mazda is the alleged "Creator" of the world according to Zoroastrianism - obviously a false religion.
Translation:
First of all from the movie previews I thought this would be a movie about a loveable little alien. I walked into the movie theater, and after the previews and commercials, the movie came on. It was a nice childrens' movie I thought, but amidst all the laughter, I was busy looking for something to get offended over. Instead of taking time to enjoy a children's movie, I decided I wanted to come up with some bullshit theory, sitting there in the theater, about why this movie is evil, like the rest of the world, which I hate. Finally, after going over some formulas in my head, I decided I could come up with a case on why this movie would offend me. Since it isn't within my mentality to simply put my fanaticism aside, I decide to complain about it, hoping that the rapture would come and that Jesus would slaughter all my enemies.
But the scientist was being BAD in doing so, and was ARRESTED AND JAILED for creating 626. 626 was then to be carted off, but escaped, again, violating the law and setting himself up as a villain/anti-hero protagonist. He's not stated to be supernatural in any way, just a bizarre artificial abomination. It's like your real objection isn't to how the actions themselves are portrayed (as they are portrayed, even in the context of the film, as being morally wrong), but rather to the fact that they are portrayed at all. Would you prefer a film in which NOTHING HAPPENS?
Forty times as funny when you realize that 626 is the area code where the animation studio is based, an in-joke that had fuck-all to do with Satan.
(I'm surprised nobody else mentioned that. Oh well, leave it to Wehp to catch all the obscure Disney stuff from when I was little.)
Dear Mr. Ted,
Just to let you know, according to the creators of Lilo and Stitch 626 was used because it is the area code of the San Gabriel Valley, CA. It is figured that one of the creators/writers is from there. Also, nice use of numerology, I always thought that was denounced by your kind.

Yes. It appears this is exactly what this breed of fundie wants. See this link for an essay by a different fundie on the subject: http://www.capalert.com/before.htm

It's a frigging movie! It's only purpose is to amuse people for an hour or two. That's it.
If you REALLY look, you can find those digits anywhere. Our national holiday is on the sixth of june. That's two sixes, wait a minute... Oh, I've got it; raising the flag at six o'clock on that day brings the Anti-Christ around, to the delicious shellfish party.
Or something like that...
If you really are 37, you ought to have seen many more horrid films than this one. I know I have, although I haven't actually seen this one...
Wow. they completely missed the point of the entire movie. It was to show that even those they we view as completely evil, can be made good and well in this world if we help them.
How you managed to find...that crap above...I have no idea.
So this movie is terrible, then what about Blade Runner? Shit, if you people understood fiction, you wouldn't buy into religion so much.
Pretty typical of certain Christians. They can look at anything and find 666, sex, evil, satan, etc.
How pathetic.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
