“Well, I don't know much about her, but at the beginning of the video, the dude made a stupid comment that "creationism is solely a religious belief, therefore not to be taught in school and that evolution is widely accepted as fact, and should alone be taught."
Sorry, that is incorrect.”
Nope. It’s completely correct. There’s no secular version of creationism, so it’s unconstitutional to teach it.
Evolution is a fact AND there is a theory that tries to explain the facts we have observed.
“You must first of all present the information of both sides,”
But there’s really only one side without religion.
“ and let the young people exercise their critical thinking skills. Let them make up their own minds!”
Where do we do this? Do we teach capitalism and socialism and let the student decide?
Do we teach the benefits of Russia, or any other country, and let the American students decide?
Do we teach that slavery is bad AND good and let the students decide?
No, we teach the facts as we know them and not your superstition.
“I do! We don't live in a communist society (yet)”
Do we teach both sides of communism, then?
“but if we keep teaching students theories as though they are facts,”
You should learn what ‘theory’ means in a science context. It’s not the made-up story that House uses to insult Wilson.
“we will certainly end up in a totalitarian situation.”
So, you want both sides of totalitarian society’s taught?
Oh! We should make the pledge: “1892 version: I pledge allegiance to 1923 edit the Flag of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands, one nation 1954 edit under God,, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
