"Give them nothing except the certainty that you love them in the name of Jesus Christ."
I'd rather it be in the name of something meaningful like, say, humanity. If you only do it because a book tells you to or because of a fear of eternal damnation then it's a rather empty sentiment.
"Tell them what Jesus has done in your life - not what THEY are doing wrong, etc."
Jesus has done precisely squat in your life. If you had any relationship with reality at all you'd know that dead people can't influence events except in minor cases where crooked politicians count their votes despite their less than able condition to cast one.
"Finally, let them know that you are praying for them and then really be doing just that. [...]"
How about you do something useful instead?
"Do NOT pray that they are happy, safe, have perfect lives, etc, but instead pray that having heard the gospel, that they are then hammered by the Holy Spirit."
I've never met anyone who isn't at least passingly familiar with your fairy tale. Do you people really think you're telling us about something we've never heard of before?
And that whole "hammered by the Holy Spirit" thing is just bizarre phrasing. I hope...
"Pray that they are broken to where they see their need for Jesus and wisely CHOOSE it."
Yes, hope that the person that you "love" in the name of your Jesus is in such utter hopelessness and despair that you can swoop in and coerce them into joining your little fantasy camp. You people are vile.
"The world has a way of bribing the unsaved with material excess and other distractions."
I'm "unsaved" and am probably far less materialistic than you are. I'm certainly less interested in material possessions than anyone I know.
"Some disruption and even pain is what brings people to the cross and the one who took all of our places upon that terrible thing."
Sure, sure.
