Ok why the storm and destruction. Did anyone with the power of the Holy Spirit in them stand up to the storm and tell it, yes tell it, to stop. No, because they are not Christians there.
I know you probably don't believe this, as the devil has blinded your eys and caused your confusion. This can be remedied by being saved or born again. God said he gave us the simple things to confound the wise. The simple thing being you have to speak to the storm, it is a spiritual matter that works in the natural realm.
I have seen two tornadoes comimg across the lake toward my home, and I told them to go away and they did. Because Jesus said I give you the authority to to tread on serpents and scorpions (demons) and nothing shall by any means harm you. He gave us the authority, he has the power, I don't, I just use the authority he gave me and He makes it happen (power).
You can mock us that believe and rely on God, but tornadoes, hail and high winds do our homes no damage. I am a combat vet and I could tell you about the times God saved me and my fellows. Oh, I know it was just a coincidence right ? Personnaly I'll rely on Jesus and His name, and you can rely on your basement and the weather Channel. God loves us, the devil doesn't.

Lying for Jesus is still lying.
Sooooo..... 50,000 people in a region prone to cyclones, with the highest population density in the world, where the vast majority of those people are poor, destitute, lacking in mass communication and adequate transportation died because they don't believe in cross boy?
Right.
Was King Canute a Christian? I'm put in mind of the time he explained to someone where his authority DIDN'T extend by "commanding" rough seas to still themselves...
No one considered that Jesus might just have been using hyperbole to get his point across?
What about all the Christians that said that God was destroying America for being non Christian? Shouldn't this sort of body count be occurring in the US instead?
Or maybe.. just maybe... its because they live in buildings that are not made to be climate resistant as ours are and they don't have an infrastructure to facilitate large scale evacuations as we do. Maybe... just maybe... you should stop condemning them and actually do something to help.
Why don't you go drink some poison or something. According to your Bible it won't harm you, after all.
So...years ago, the Christians who were fed to lions...weren't Christians?
Tornados, hail, and high winds do my home no damage either.
If you want to believe that, go right ahead. Just don't mind me if my laughter is heard around the world.
But, really, isn't lying something the bible says not to do? Don't people who are born again rant and rave about the "truth" - their version of it - over and over and over? How can one expect you to know the truth about your god when you don't tell the truth about anything else?
Hey, the tornados were coincidences, but I was gonna give you credit for skill by staying alive in battle. You want to attribute it to god then that's fine, but if there were a god of love as many christians so wrongfully refer to Yawhew then he would certainly prevent war, famine, disease, disaster, draught, and all other means of death and sufforing. It's quite evident that such a god does not exist or at best is completely incompetant.
Luck, anybody?
And by the sound of this, this guy's combat was in 'Nam, not Iraq, and he's just about ready to do like Rambo.
No. Storms are caused by variances in temp and atmospheric pressure. They strike wherever they strike depending on those variances and prevailing conditions. Nothing supernatural about it.
And I seriously doubt "Rider" has ever seen a tornado. If he had he would not have made up such a ridiculous story.
If this is true, you just redirected the tornadoes. That's killing your neighbours for Jeezus.
But it isn't true. Tornadoes change direction all the time.
And Jesus never spoke to you, nor did he give you authority to tread on scorpions. Mind you, I wish you would.
Later in the thread, Rider coins a new word: 'Slavation'.
I think it means where you become a slave to Jesus, and the rest of your life becomes one unending psychotic episode.
Another fundy on that thread, called Psychofaith or some such, refers to the Son of God as 'Jease'. I think he might have meant to type 'Jeeze.' Anyway, if I were Jesus I'm sure I'd be insulted that my most faithful and rabid followers couldn't even spell my name.
" Did anyone with the power of the Holy Spirit in them stand up to the storm and tell it, yes tell it, to stop. No, because they are not as stupid as you there. "
Fixed.
What was wrong with the Christians that did die in recent storms? How exactly are they less deserving? Did they not pray enough, pray the "right" way?
I may be going out on a limb here but have you ever been under the care of a competent psychiatrist? Because you are psychotic to think you can control the weather!
The scariest soldier is the one who believes a deity is personally protecting him. He will get his whole team killed and screw up the mission very quickly.
Rider was a REMF or a stateside warrior if he was a vet.

Psst, dude, Storm's a chick ;). But its okay if you wanna be a lady, even one who controls the weather.
Trusting in God is futile. When i fought him three thousand years ago, I killed him and tossed his body into the Atlantic. And then ruled over Switzerland happily ever after.

Can they get any more fucking delusional?
Jesus said "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."
You in world state: Sticks and stones may break my bones, and you know the rest. Your childish comments make me laugh, thanks for a good time. I printed this for my friends and they will have a good laugh too. Thanks again.
Hey, Rider, now that you've deigned to grace us with your presence, you're going to drink that Drano and post a video of it on YouTube, right? After all, you mustn't let the hellbound trash think you don't trust the promises made by Jesus in the Bible.
Hello Rider.
You are quite correct in assuming that the world hates and fears people like you. All of my students have run into the same hate and fear throughout their lifetimes, but I think this ability of yours to control whirlwinds with the sound of your voice can be harnessed into something that could benefit all mankind. Hey Rider, why don't you go to Minnesota, I hear they have bridges that fall with CHILDREN on them. Maybe you can use your powers to keep those up... or do all the sins of a 10 year old cancel that out?
Someone remind me how many of these fundamentalists die of snakebite every year......!
So tornados and storm turn away at your command! But where's the morality in this. What is a blessing to you is a curse to someone else. In cosmic terms you have cursed those who will suffer from your Christian faith's power to turn storms away.
Quite off the wall!
