[regarding Kent Hovind's conviction on tax fraud]
Mr. Hovind is in prison for more than what is being said. It is obvious that he is a man of God and the world wants to put a stop to people who are serving God and winning souls to Christ. I don't know the entire story of Mr. Hovind not paying taxes, but there are alot of people who don't. Are they in prison? No. Mr. Hovind is against evolution, of course, and proving that evolution is false through the Bible.... Of course people are going to get upset about that. Some people said that we come from a rock. that sounds so dumb.. If some one designs a house he's a designer, if someone plans something they are a planner. think for second, if your see a newly built house, do you say i wonder which rock it came from? no, of course not because we all know a person designed it and had it built. same with people. if we came from monkeys wouldn't it still be happening? I am not trying to stir anyone up, but Mr. Hovind is in prison for more than what man thinks. and still in prison he his winning souls to Christ. Romans 8:28 says that all things work for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. As far as I know Mr. Hovind is going to be rewarded, in prison or out, far more than this world could ever give him. Sit back and think about the entire book and not just the front page.

Wrong! He's in their for tax evasion and was guilty on all counts.
It is obvious that he is a man of God and the world wants to put a stop to people who are serving God and winning souls to Christ.
People like Hovind need to be stopped. Not killed, but just stopped.
I don't know the entire story of Mr. Hovind not paying taxes, but there are alot of people who don't. Are they in prison?
Yes they are in jail.
No. Mr. Hovind is against evolution, of course, and proving that evolution is false through the Bible....
Not through imperical evidence, mind you.
Of course people are going to get upset about that.
Damn staright.
Some people said that we come from a rock. that sounds so dumb.
We don't come from rocks, but the specific amino bases may have come from rocks.
If some one designs a house he's a designer, if someone plans something they are a planner. think for second, if your see a newly built house, do you say i wonder which rock it came from? no, of course not because we all know a person designed it and had it built. same with people.
That's the worst analogy of ID.
if we came from monkeys wouldn't it still be happening?
We don't come from monkeys. We come from a comon ancestor.
I am not trying to stir anyone up, but Mr. Hovind is in prison for more than what man thinks.
BWHAAHAHA!
and still in prison he his winning souls to Christ. Romans 8:28 says that all things work for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. As far as I know Mr. Hovind is going to be rewarded,
in Hell! BWHAHAAHAHAH!!

Yes, let's not be inforemed about the world.
1) No true Christian is a criminal
2) Kent Hovind is in jail
3) Usually here we'd say that means he wasn't a true Christian, but that would make us look like suckers
4) Therefore, Kent Hovind is still a true Christian
5) By the reasoning of (1), the only option left is that he is not a true criminal
6) Kent Hovind is still in jail
7) Therefore, Kent Hovind is in jail for being a true Christian
8) ZOMG PERSECUTION!
Oh, quit bitching about this. He didn't pay taxes, the IRS put him in prison... end of story. christian or not, it will happen to anyone who does not pay taxes. And by the way, your analogy is completely useless.
Most tax evaders don't go to jail because when they're caught, they're smart enough to pay up before it gets that far. Kent Hovind had plenty of chances. He just had a cockeyed theory about the tax laws and refused to admit he was wrong even after he lost the points again and again. He took the same "I'm right and everyone else is wrong" attitude toward the tax laws as he does toward science. And yes, other tax evaders do go to jail - Leona Helmsley, for instance.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kent Hovind is in jail because he was an arrogant, asshat trying to avoid paying his taxes.
Yeah, Hovind is on the verge of something huge that will completly destroy the 'evilutionist's religion'. They can lock up his body, but they'll never break his spirit! When he is further persecuted in prison, he'll go to that one place where he is free, that one place where they can't reach him; Solitary Confinement.
He's an arrogant, self-righteous crook and he deserves what he got.
That´s precisely what makes you more candid and less likely to win souls. If you don´t know why Hovind is in prison and you don´t know the law, you´d better not jump and take conclusions because, you know, you have to analyse the whole affair. Besides, nobody is in prison for not knowing what the story of taxes is about BUT FOR NOT PAYING. Don´t asume that prejudices have played a role in Hovind´s conviction if you yourself are playing ON THEM, asuming that just because he says oh lord oh lord, he´s in jail for that.
Mr. Hovind is in prison for more than what is being said
Ah, no. He is in prison for not only failing to pay 800,000 in taxes, but also claiming he didn't have to pay. If I have to pay, then so does "Dr." Dino.
I don't know the entire story of Mr. Hovind not paying taxes, but there are alot of people who don't.
Then why are you commenting on it?
Some people said that we come from a rock. that sounds so dumb..
You claim we come from clay. How is that different?
I am not trying to stir anyone up
Oh come on, at least have the courage to admit you are trying to stir people up...
proving that evolution is false through the Bible
The only way to prove evolution false would be through valid evidence. Any book of mere words will not cut it.
Some people said that we come from a rock. that sounds so dumb.
Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, Yes, it sounded dumb to me too.
If you know someone who's cheating on their taxes, you can report them to the IRS and get a reward. If their crime is serious enough, they WILL go to jail. Hovind refused to give Caesar his due, plain and simple. He's an arrogant asshat who's now learning the Prison Hokey-Pokey.
How many people does this guy know that defrauded the US government of over $800,000? The jury took a mere 2.5 hrs to deliberate 44 charges. That's barely time to read each charge and vote. Apparently, those who know more about the case, think Hovind is a piece of shit that should rot in jail. Maybe the jury was composed entirely of atheists? Is that the next conspiracy theory? Oh, the oppression!
And using the babble as a source of evidence? Jesus, man, the guy believes T rex was a herbivore! And that dragon legends prove that dinosaurs were around the same time as man! Contempt does not even begin to describe how I feel about Hovind...
How about shutting your stupidity hole and learning a bit about abiogenesis and evolution? Don't worry, the big words may make your head hurt but it shouldn't explode.
Sit back and think about the entire book and not just the front page.
Are you aiming for the "Death by Irony Overdose" Award?
I don't know the entire story of Mr. Hovind not paying taxes, but there are alot of people who don't. Are they in prison? No.
1) People who don't make much money don't have to pay taxes.
2) Most of those who cheat on taxes don't do anything near the scale of Hovind's fraud.
3) Proof or GTFO.
Some people said that we come from a rock. that sounds so dumb.
1) Name one scientist who says this. Just one. This is one of Hovind's most popular lies.
2) And being created from dirt is so much better?
if we came from monkeys wouldn't it still be happening?
That you can even ask this question shows that you are too stupid to be educable. But that doesn't mean I won't try.
Fetch me a Cluebat.
Unlike rmtzdcks, I did some research on the Hovind case. Hovind could have cooperated with the IRS investigators to prevent his prison sentence. He did not, apparently out of sheer arrogance.
They say that pride is the fundamental sin. In Hovind's case this appears to be true. Hey, how about that, Hovind actually proved something!
ZOMG PERSECUTION!
PERSEKUSHUN!? OH NOES!
1) he refused to pay taxex. Once caught on cheating most people get fined and set up repayments. Hovind refused any comprimise
2)He encouraged his employees to not pay taxes also.Cival disobediance. He should also be forced to pay any fines they incur
3)He was getting rich off of creationists being too stupid to know better. He also undermine the educational system, law enforcement, scientific and medical communities. He encourages dark ages thinking in all areas
4) He claims an unrecognizes PHD. Your not entitled to DR. or PHD unless it's recieved through recognized, authentic institutions.
5) His followers all display fear and loathing of the real world
I don't know the entire story of Mr. Hovind not paying taxes, but there are alot of people who don't. Are they in prison? No. Mr. Hovind is against evolution, of course, and proving that evolution is false through the Bible....
But there are a lot of people speaking out against evolution, and claiming proof that evolution is false through the Bible. Are they in prison? No.
Confused?
