The Big Bang has masses of evidence from multiple sources in multiple fields, all well documented, verified and repeatable, with new evidence for it being discovered quite regularly.

Christianity has a single book that 30,000+ sects can't seem to agree on the meaning of. Nothing in the book pertaining to your religion can be verified by anyone as no other sources of the claims exist and there is no evidence that any of it ever took place.

See the difference?

And do you have any actual physical evidence to back up your so-called religion's 'theory', hmmmmmmm?! I'd hazard a guess that your answer would be 'No', amirite? Therefore your so-called 'faith' is pure bullshit. Nothing more.

Detune your TV/radio. See/hear that 'snow' on the screen/hiss on the speaker(s)? That's electromagnetic remnants of the Big Bang, no less. The mathematical model proves the Higgs Boson's existence; the Large Hadron Collider was built to confirm it's existence. And when it does...!

See? Evidence. Backs up 'theories'. The shitloads of evidence renders Darwin's Theory of Evolution a 'theory' no more, but the Facts of Evolution.

Facts annihilate 'faith'. Every time.

Christianity is a theory in the everyday use of the term. A random guess which has not had lots of evidence to back it up.

The Big Bang is a theory in the scientific sense. An explanation that is both widely accepted (though this does not mean fact) and has substantial evidence to say it is likely the case, and does not possess evidence to say that it is wrong.

I think the term theory really needs to be amended to only mean the scientific term and not the every day term... because the scientific term is really closer to the everyday use of the term "fact", it cannot be used as undeniable fact of course but the criteria for scientific theory makes any theory closer to the common use of "fact" than the common use of "Theory"

No, it most certainly is not. Not only are they not in the same ballpark, they aren't even the same sport. Theories are not assertions of fact, nor are they blind guesswork. Religion, on the other hand, is exactly that.

You really don't get it, do you? The Big Bang theory isn't "precious", nor is it sacred, infallible, or unchanging. It is simply the theory that best fits the availible evidence.

There is no place for "faith" in scientific theory. Theories are, by their very definition, supported by many lines of evidence and observation... That's not faith. The Big Bang theory is falsifiable, as are all scientific theories, if christianity were, as you so ignorantly claim, "just another theory" then what makes or would make christianity falsifiable?
