“Its not the math but the presumptions that the problem.”
So, for a creationist to say this, I’d have to suspect that he realizes the math is against him? I mean, they’re all about the math when they think they have a good argument on the chances of a cell forming, or DNA, or the population Earth would hold if evolution were true… But if you’re discounting ‘the math’ that must be a losing argument in your mind.
“Creationism today would not say the waters of the flood would cover Everest.”
But that’s what the Bible said, right? So you need to justify taking PART of the fabulous myth as literal, but not all of it?
“First because Everest like almost all or all mountains on earth today are the result of the continents splitting/crashing during the flood year.”
Ah. So Genesis 7:19 should say: And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered, but only until they were shoved up above the water?
But you don’t have any actual evidence of that, do you? You just HAVE to add this to the model so that you can pretend the story makes sense in the world we actually know and live in.
“These mts poped up only then creationism says.”
Show me the evidence for it, please.
“Whatever mts existed before the flood would of been small most likely. so a lesser depth of water would be needed to cover the earth. We can presume this.”
No, no, you HAVE to assume this, there’s no evidence for it, it’s just necessary for the story to not be OBVIOUSLY a made-up myth.
“ I would add also the oceans would not need to be deep but rather were carved deeper during the commotion of the flood year.”
Again, retconning history to match your favorite superstition.
“Creationism teaches a different looking planet before the flood so you can't just prove us wrong by ignoring our claims.”
Yes, we really can. You’ve given us NO REASON to believe your claims are anything more than ad hoc.
“Math is for kids but research and analysis is for thinking men.”
Yes, yes, the calculations for the moon shots were in crayon, sure.
“In fact i think they find shells on Everest. cause it moved up with the shells from below.”
That’s what geologists think, to, they just don’t think the whole mountain was made in one year.
