"If science and atheism are so great, and science has an explanation to everything, why are Earth's natural resources running out?"
Permit me to demonstrate some basic mathematical science to you: If Johnny has 10 apples and he eats 3, he was FEWER apples. Now take that to a planetary scale in your head.
I like how he tries to make science and atheism guilty by association of Earth's diminishing resources.
"Why is the planet heating up and the polar regions shrinking?"
Wiki global warming. There should be a section on how, for some reason, Fundies across America feel this basic work of scientific study is an affront to the cosmology created by God. Perhaps because the ministers of their megachurches often have mineral holdings and close associations with Big Oil. Or perhaps because their kneejerk reaction is to deny anything believed by liberals.
"Why can't they solve the energy crisis or make up a decent theory about the cration?(ooh, burn)"
You don't get to commend your own snaps. That's basic schoolyard etiquette. But something tells me you were home-schooled.
"Until I see some TRUE AND ACTUAL proof that the events described in the Bible didn't happen(which you guys don't have :D ) I will remain a true believer in Christ."
I know a part of your mindset is going to react "But this is TRUE!" when I say this next part, but I feel I have to: you DO acknowledge that insistently believing in anything on pure faith until someone can provide absolute proof it is not so and cannot be so (a nigh impossibility) can apply easily to anything -- say, talking sharks -- as well, right? Because if you can't, then we're not going to be able to have any kind of discourse. We'll be on completely different rhetorical ground. You seem like an intelligent, literate, fellow. Grant me this.
"You people remain in your belief that seeing is believing, which is about the most ignorant statement anyone can say."
No it's not. It's not a constant, but it's a good rule of thumb.
"Events in the Bible were wrote by people witnessing these events and are ABSOLUTELY true."
So...when the Roman emperors met face to face with the gods in the histories, which were TYING to record the facts, not push a religious view, that was absolutely true too?
