So 400 people who have no idea what to look for have a better idea of what it is than NASA?
400 witnesses make it more likely that what they saw did, in fact, happen. But it doesn't mean they're all correct in their interpretation of it (especially considering that astronomy is nowhere near as simple a subject as most people believe).

Neither scientific nor proven ... unless you are speaking a language that is almost identical to English except that the words "scientific" and "proven" mean something more along the lines of "ad hoc" and "made up".

Just because it was for a time unidentified, does not mean it was a space craft from an alien world.

In a world of billions and billions of people, at any moment it's not difficult to come up with 400 nutters who will claim to have seen almost anything.

Learn to write a coherent sentence.
Scientists, being that science is a self-correcting system, would have been screaming bloody murder for decades if U.S. public schools were teaching students the earth was spherical and it was actually flat.
