God literally took 1 whole day to create mankind. He also took only 1 day to create the heavens, 1 day to create all life on earth, etc...But the point is God dedicated 1 WHOLE day to create just mankind, in His image. That is a pretty significant statement right there. That He took the same amount of time to create man and woman as He did the whole of the heavens. Kinda shows how much He took in caring to create us.

Folks, I've said this before, and I'll say it again: The proper place for ridicule is in the COMMENTS, not editorially in the submission itself, and especially not in the manner of childish namecalling in the link. If you want to express such things in your own comment, that's your privilege -- but to incorporate these things into the quoted post itself reflects on FSTDT, and it reflects badly.

I appreciate those of you who restrain yourselves and post ONLY the post, its source, and "just the facts" of its context when necessary. Once that's done, mock away. I'll be joining in right there with you.

Bullshit. Artists take the greatest care in making their works, and it generally takes them along time to create just one masterpiece. If your sky fairy only took one day, it shows that he took no pride in his work, much less that he knew what he was doing. Sounds more like a grade schooler to me, what with all his tantrums for people not worshipping him when he gives no proof of his existence. Like a child playing hide and seek. That's why the Bible tells us to seek god, and not the other way around. That's why we're told we cannot enter heaven if we don't accept Jesus as little children; god just wants playmates. But he's the bully of the group.

But was that God’s plan or Adam’s fault?
Remember, on that day Adam was supposed to pick a partner. He sat there in the garden as all the animals were paraded past him. And kept saying, ‘No.’
that took some time. Rejecting the dog, the wolf, the fox, the cow, the antelope, the gazelle, the deer, the moose, the elk, the other elk, elephants (all three species), penguin, auk, dodo, tern, the other tern, the other other tern, horse, donkey, burro, brown bear, black bear, polar bear, himalayan bear, ….

Would have taken a while to fully try each and every possible kind and animal. FINALLY God has to admit failure with the zoo, and ad hoc Woman.
And look how well that turned out.
But, yeah, that’d have taken a whole day.
