Anyone ever see the film March of the Penguins? After mating, and mom gives birth, the little egg is rolled from moms feet to dads feet - then balanced away from the cold ground, and covered with a fold of flesh on their stomaches - as they take turns marching miles to get food - in extreme winter conditions. Any slight mistake and the baby dies. This is not something they could have learned over time.

They came preprogrammed, and God did it :)
