Does anyone here have a clue how we can differentiate between the moral standards and indeed the basic morality of the fundamentalist Moslems and these fundamentalist Christians? This set of postings merely convinces me further that there is no difference in moral stance between the two groups. No wonder they hate one another so deeply. And no wonder that they can convince themselves that humans are basically evil. Their very own actions and attitudes prove their point to themselves on a daily basis.

These two groups are the most dangerous people in the world. Their self-righteous agendas are almost identical. The only difference is that the names are changed in their desired final outcomes.

Give American fundamentalist Christians the same political and social dominance that we see in the Moslem world given to the fundamentalist Moslems and there would very little difference in the actions here. Both groups are sick and dangerous.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with basic human rights. Nor does it have anything to do with the fact that if a nation tortures, it loses the moral high ground when others do so...and finally, your quote is remarkably telling. You don't support torture for interrogation. Nor for any productive purpose. You support it to promote fear, and to satify your sadistic revenge fantasies. Fucking terrorist.

Yeah, and detaining POWs, and subjecting them to one torture after another...that won't make them retaliate at all...but I guess so long as you aren't the one that gets captured, that's irrelevant, isn't it? So long as it's all just numbers on the news, no one's REALLY getting hurt.
