In the first place, AIDS first spread through the human population primarily through heterosexual activity, and I believe it still affects far more heterosexuals than homosexuals globally (certainly outside the U.S.). Pretty strange methodology for trying to "punish homosexuals," especially since lesbians have the lowest incidence of acquisition of any group.virus is responsible for AIDS.
But in the third place, if God created the virus (for whatever reason), then God is responsible for AIDS, and the blood of any and all innocents (and not-so-innocents) due to it are on HIS hands. If you want to give God the credit here, all you are really doing is adding to his curriculum vitae as a capricious and sadistic monster.

If God wanted to punish gays, wouldn't he have made something that killed only gays. Being omniscient he should have known that, and should have forseen the deaths of "innocent" persons.

No, the death of the innocent persons is God's fault, his having created and loosed the virus, with the knowledge that it would kill "innocent" people.
Just an update. AIDS originated in Africa because of the eating of monkey flesh. Sexual activity, heterosexual by chance, was and is the main way of spreading in Africa, the place where, not coincidentially, is more prevalent. And the main way is prostitution and child transmition. Homosexuals were just, together with Jamaicans and Hemophiliacs, the most keen to have it, at the beginning, because the semen and the blood are the most effective media where the bug can exist. It´s not through "bisexuals" that it was spread, it was only that it took longer to pass it from an infected woman to a man.
Could I say, following your logic, that God created Evola to punish WHOM?, or the Spanish flu?, or the death plague?, I mean, the list is long.

It never seems to occur to these people how stupid they make God look. If God wanted to punish homosexuals, a very small percentage of people, why would he do it by unleashing a virus that has the potential to destroy the entire human race? This guy must think God is as dumb as he is.

2) the study that put Dugas at the center of the earliest infections in the gay community of San Francisco was an early study, based on the incorrect premise that full-blown AIDS developped within one year of the infection.
